Something I haven't noticed anyone mention yet, but given Garrett Wang made this claim, I have to ask, is Harry Kim in the season?
I'm not watching the eps chronologically but haven't come across him so far.Something I haven't noticed anyone mention yet, but given Garrett Wang made this claim, I have to ask, is Harry Kim in the season?

The unfortunate thing is that some episodes don't even have closed captions - I'm not sure if that's just me though, but it was completely random which ones had them and which ones didn't. But I was still able to understand most if it except the technobabble. This is pretty much how I feel about it too. I can read French moderately well, so I'd probably be able to follow along reasonably enough with the subtitles. But I'd much rather experience it for the first time with the original performances. I generally prefer to watch movies/shows in their original language, whatever that language happens to be. (With English subtitles, of course!)
So I am quite content to wait for the official release here, and don't feel any need to jump through any hoops to try to watch a French language version. (Now if only CTV would give us some hint as to how it's actually going to be shown here...)
Nor do I want to spoil myself in advance, so I do appreciate that everyone is spoiler-coding all the spoilery bits.![]()
It's going to be streaming on their website according to the Paramount press release from months ago.(Now if only CTV would give us some hint as to how it's actually going to be shown here...)
It would be funny if CTV can release it whenever like the French network did. Although since they have broadcast rights to Trek, I assume they'll want to play ball. It's going to be streaming on their website according to the Paramount press release from months ago.
Season 1 is already on there.

Prodigy S1 requires you to be a subscriber to watch, so I assume so. I assume like this French network, the only reason they're allowed to put it on their streaming service is because they have the broadcast rights.OK, but is it going to be open to everyone to watch, or will it be locked to cable subscribers only?
I'm still hoping it's also going to wind up on Crave, for those of us who already gave up cable.
I have question!EDIT: Btw, I just finished watching S2 even though it was in French and couldn't understand it. Got the main gist, but still looking forward to seeing the whole thing again in English so I can actually get better context of what was said by everyone (and in their original voices).
Pics and observations!

VoyAger looks great, Sov nacelles are so much better than the short Intrepid ones. Note the Sov torpedo launcer and yacht as well. They have a cloaked shuttle, the Infinity.
They get a new ship at the end, Protostar-A class, named Prodigy

Dr. Erin shows a TOS Conny and BoP slingshotting
They also reference Cochrane, Paralleles, and the Bell riots, there are BTTF fadeouts, Murf turns into a beautiful sea creature in water, they have Matrix sentinels with legs, one great scene is an almost exact recreation of the shuttle chase dive from INS, Janway takes her shirt off when hunting just like in Macrocosm, the car from S1 now has a BTTF hover mode, there are cadets from Nova squad on board, they find a Klingon tribble biologist (Rok gets a new mixed pet), in one parallel timeline there are Enderprizians on the ship and Captain Tuvix!!!, some Bynars are working in the background, they mention a new maneuver, the Boothby supernova, the transporter looks a lot like in the Kelvin films, and both Shinzon and Picard, and the Romulan evacuation are mentioned.

Wesley in one of his famous sweaters lives in a Traveler temple, he has a BTTF2 Doc timeline explanation scene, Beverly shows up as well, they meet again for the first time, and she introduces him to Jack
Gwyn also meets her dad before he turned evil, there's a nice episode with holographics doppelgängers who think they are the real ones, Zero gets a nice new body and a new suit, and a new main character is the Vulcan Majel!
Verdict
There are heavy emotional scenes that are probably too much for young kids, but exciting for older ones like this one
Beautiful visuals and music, like the Protostar sailing in a sea of clouds and launching like the Franklin in Beyond
Really impressive time travel, loop, alternate reality stuff, those connections to TNG and Picard, it's all glorious and even better than S1. It makes no sense at all that P+ abandoned it. This is the show that should go on above all others!

Is one of the heavy emotional scenes Janeway & Chakotay finally admitting their feelings and getting together?
I have question!
I grasp that a big deal is made about rescuing Captain Chakotay...but his crew doesn't get mentioned. We see his Aurelian first officer on video but in the later episodes there's Chakotay and nobody else.
What happened to the original Protostar crew besides Chakotay and Hologram Janeway?

I would say shippers could probably run with it if they wanted to.
I don't believe there was anyone else mentioned - the ship was designed with holo Janeway in mind I guess. The fate of the first officer is revealed though.
