I'm not watching the eps chronologically but haven't come across him so far.
Yeah it's dubbed and subbed in french. Not ideal.
Nope, nor or any other Voyager characters other than the known ones unless I missed them in a background shot or something.
The unfortunate thing is that some episodes don't even have closed captions - I'm not sure if that's just me though, but it was completely random which ones had them and which ones didn't. But I was still able to understand most if it except the technobabble.This is pretty much how I feel about it too. I can read French moderately well, so I'd probably be able to follow along reasonably enough with the subtitles. But I'd much rather experience it for the first time with the original performances. I generally prefer to watch movies/shows in their original language, whatever that language happens to be. (With English subtitles, of course!)
So I am quite content to wait for the official release here, and don't feel any need to jump through any hoops to try to watch a French language version. (Now if only CTV would give us some hint as to how it's actually going to be shown here...)
Nor do I want to spoil myself in advance, so I do appreciate that everyone is spoiler-coding all the spoilery bits.
Although temporal mechanics being l'mechanique temporal is hilarious to me.
It's going to be streaming on their website according to the Paramount press release from months ago.
Season 1 is already on there.
It would be funny if CTV can release it whenever like the French network did. Although since they have broadcast rights to Trek, I assume they'll want to play ball.
Was there any mention if they will release the whole of Season 2 in one go, or will they trickle it on a weekly basis?
EDIT: Btw, I just finished watching S2 even though it was in French and couldn't understand it. Got the main gist, but still looking forward to seeing the whole thing again in English so I can actually get better context of what was said by everyone (and in their original voices).
People are in for a treat. S2 was really well done from what I saw.
Kim wasn't anywhere in sight and besides Janeway, Chakotay and the Doctor, no other member of the original VOY crew made an appearance.
I suspect that if Prodigy is picked up for S3, we could see more of the original VOY cast - but given how S2 ended, its possible we might not.

This is kind of funny as I recently watched some of this French kids superhero show on Disney+, Miraculous - Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and I decided to watch it in its original French for reasons said by others above. Then I started to watch the new X-Men '97 show and it left it in French dub, and it was super confusing since the first dialogue mentioned events in Paris, so it took me a few moments to realize it wasn't just French people speaking French in-story.
I'm highly tempted to seek out this American show in untranslated French, but luckily, I guess, I'm struggling to summarize Malthus and Ricardo and Locke for school. Yay?

OK, but is it going to be open to everyone to watch, or will it be locked to cable subscribers only?
I'm still hoping it's also going to wind up on Crave, for those of us who already gave up cable.
Prodigy S1 requires you to be a subscriber to watch, so I assume so. I assume like this French network, the only reason they're allowed to put it on their streaming service is because they have the broadcast rights.
It may actually be harder to watch in Canada if you don't pay for cable, assuming that it will only be on US Netflix.
How much I have loved s2, I was kind of disappointed that months ago the Hageman brothers (I think it was them) teased an episode on X, I believe they said something like 'we just finished an episode which ties up 60 years of Star Trek, it needs to be watched'... something like that... I was expecting a major crossover episode, but it didn't happen... Awesome season nonetheless..!
I have question!
I grasp that a big deal is made about rescuing Captain Chakotay...but his crew doesn't get mentioned. We see his Aurelian first officer on video but in the later episodes there's Chakotay and nobody else.

There are heavy emotional scenes that are probably too much for young kids, but exciting for older ones like this one
Beautiful visuals and music, like the Protostar sailing in a sea of clouds and launching like the Franklin in Beyond
Really impressive time travel, loop, alternate reality stuff, those connections to TNG and Picard, it's all glorious and even better than S1. It makes no sense at all that P+ abandoned it. This is the show that should go on above all others!

I like the Intrepid/Sovereign Mashup feel of Voyager-A. Not sure how I feel about there being a U.S.S. Prodigy, though. I kind of liked that the show didn't have an eponymous ship.

I don't believe there was anyone else mentioned - the ship was designed with holo Janeway in mind I guess. The fate of the first officer is revealed though.
