Beacon 23 takes place in the farthest reaches of the Milky Way and follows Aster (Lena Headey), a government agent, and Halan (Stephan James), a stoic ex-military man, whose fates become entangled after they find themselves trapped together inside one of many Beacons that serve as a lighthouse for intergalactic travelers. Every Beacon is run by one highly trained human and a specialized Artificial Intelligence. Aster mysteriously finds her way to the lonely Beacon-keeper Halan, and a tense battle of wills unfolds. Halan begins to question whether Aster is friend or foe, as her ability to disguise her agenda and motives could make her a formidable opponent.

Don't know if it means anything that this show went from Spectrum to AMC to MGM+ (formerly Epix), but Hugh Howey material is hot right off the heels of Silo. First episode is Nov. 12.

This looks intriguing and I'm a huge Lena Heady fan, so this is definitely going on my list of things to check out. I think some of the MGM+ stuff also comes to Amazon Prime Video, so if this does I'll check it out.

I don't know anything about it, but Ira Behr mentioned on Shuttlepod Show that he worked on this, so I hope it's good.

I'm looking forward to this, just like I do for all things Science Fiction. I hope it is good. I have my Dish DVR set to record the series. On Dish both the first episode (Wreckers) and second episode (Corbenic) air on Nov 12.

I have often wondered about a space station prison orbiting just inches away from a galactic core black hole…the event horizon passing through a wall…shades of Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness

Did anyone watch the first season? Here's the trailer for season 2.

I was completely unaware of the existence of this show until seeing this thread. Doesn’t seem to be streaming on this side of the pond, which is a shame as it looks right up my street.

Yeah I can't seem to find it anywhere either, hopefully it'll show up eventually

I watched all of season one. It is good science fiction. I'm looking forward to season two.
My Dish Network DVR will record any new episodes when they air on MGM+(Dish channel 380). It doesn't show any currently available this week in the DVR timer.

In addition to MGM+, it may also be available on Amazon Prime.

It is not included in the Prime Video subscription. It is only included if you subscribe to MGM+ through Prime or purchase the season.
