News? Stories from Dubious Sources

Well sometimes there really is insider information being passed on.

That might be true, but the number of people whose friends’ uncles worked for Nintendo when I was growing up was incredible. Point is; it’s easy for anyone to say “I have a source…” and then run their mouth with their wishlist saying they’re right. I’m not going to listen to 100 rumors from “sources” waiting for the right ones to be proven correct. Life is too short and I’m too busy to follow that line of nonsense. I’ll wait for the official announcement, thank you.

I have it on good authority from my own inside source that Terry Matalas has been shown the door at Paramount.

They have been unhappy with how he went about making season 3 of Picard. How he totally went around the backs of Kurtzman and other producers and made the series without any approval but his own. Paramount wants a "company man," not some maverick. He pissed off and personally insulted Kurtzman, and now he's facing the consequences.

You'll all see! In the weeks, months, and years ahead. If Star Trek Legacy doesn't get made as all trufans are expecting, I'll be proven right.

Like and subscribe for more!;)

Exactly my point!:nyah::lol:

I remember a few years back when a YouTuber, whose name escapes me, intentionally planted a false rumor about Disco on 4chan to prove if one of the well-known scoopers (I wanna say it was Doomcock?) was full of shit. Predictably, the false rumor made its way through the chain and lo and behold, the scooper fell for it and spouted it as being 100% true from "one of his sources."

The moral of the story? YouTube is entertainment, not news in the slightest. None of these people should ever be taken seriously.

It's as real as WWE. The Youtubers who make a living from "OMG the new Trek/Marvel/Star Wars/whatever is the WORST/most WOKE/CANON-VIOLATING/whatever" videos don't believe what they're saying. They're just pandering to a certain demographic who crave confirmation bias and give them clicks.

And these videos exist for everything from Star Trek/TV/movies to the Royal family to wrestling to politics to videogames to whatever else you can imagine.

Dave Blass remains confident that Legacy is not in development in any shape or form, BTW. Mentioning this here since the whole Sci-Trek thing got brought up recently.

Not exactly shocking to see such a direct contradiction to the guy's claims.

If Dave is under an NDA, he wouldn't be permitted to say anything on pain of losing his job.

He may or may not be involved. Studios tend to be tight-lipped on development matters.

and i hope it's gonna stay that way keep that limited budget for more SNW beside we don't need two ''enterprise'' show

SNW is not going to be on the air forever.

At best, it has another two seasons left after Season 3 (given P+'s proclivity for cancelling shows after five seasons).

After that, what's next? You trust Starfleet Academy to carry the mantle of the entire franchise?

What proclivity? Looking at the list of Paramount+’s original programming, there’s The Good Fight, which went six seasons, Discovery that will go five, a few two and three season runs and quite a few one season wonders. But there’s no pattern of five season series coming out of Paramount+.

The Good Fight costs less to produce than Disco. You're comparing apples to oranges.

TGF doesn't have Disco's expensive VFX.

Lower Decks may well go seven seasons given that it costs less to produce than Disco.

Six seasons compared to five isn't a terrible stretch.

The days of shows going on and on into eternity (NCIS, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Grey's Anatomy ) are over (ABC is cancelling The Good Doctor after seven seasons).
