Mark, many people have had ideas and plans like yours. Some have made them come true, after a fashion, because they were already big Hollywood names. Straczynski and McFarlane wanted to make Star Trek shows. Straczynski made Babylon 5 and McFarlane made The Orville instead. Snyder wanted to make his own Star Wars movie. He made Rebel Moon instead. (Edited, thanks to the folks who corrected me on that blooper.)
So all you have to do is become a successful TV or movie writer and producer of things that aren't Star Trek, make your millions, be seen by the studios as someone who can deliver a hit, and then change all the names in your bible and scripts and away you go.
