We got snowstorm'ed but not as much as they thought. They were forecasting 7-11 inches but we only got like four.

So I get up at 3:30 to shovel...and it's now 4 something, and I don't have to go to work for an hour and a half. Go figure.

Still sounds like something is jammed in there, somewhere. There are also blots that move the auger that are designed to break before the auger does so you can check those as well. Called shear bolts in this diagram. But, the sound makes me think the chute rotator piece that flings the snow from the auger out of the chute. That's where I have heard that sound before.

Well Fireproof, you ended up being right! When testing the belt assembly today I found a piece of gravel lodged into the very top of the impeller that I could not see before. It took some work but I managed to get it dislodged and running. I'm supposed to get a ton of rain tonight/tomorrow before the weekends big snowfall so that should ice in most of the remaining gravel and give a more solid base to make this less likely. I didn't get the shoes raised yet as I only have a little window each day to work on it.

But it's running now, and in time for the next big storm.

Same here. Drove in to work and there's no snow in the town I work in, vs. roughly a 6 to 8 inch accumulation at my house.

Glad to be of help. Yeah, that sound was all too familiar for me :)

It warmed up a bit today, and then rained for a few minutes this morning and got super windy this afternoon. So yeah, it's been a very interesting weather day today.

Windy as HELL.

It got really windy yesterday, and today was sunny and calm, but still in the 50s.

44 degrees F. Brr.

Should be SUPER cold (for here, anyway) by Sunday night. Already brought my two plants in. Will put sheets over the plants in the front yard tomorrow.

- 18 or even lower is when EVERYONE stays inside to be warm. You gotta be a frikkin idiot if you think you can be out walking around in that weather.

This aint star wars where you can go wandering around on Hoth
Actually I've been out shoveling snow in Iowa when it was -31 F out, I sometimes miss the cold weather and snow.

22° F (which is 3 degrees warmer than the forecast for 2 am)
The wind makes it feel like 8° F.
Supposedly, we're not gonna be above freezing for the next 80 hours or so.
It wasn't anywhere near this cold during December.
Yeah, how dare Winter decide to be wintry.
