Nicho's Collected Starships

I'm getting back into the swing of things with Sketchup since I found a download for my new computer so pardon any messiness in the design.

Embassy Class (WiP)
Built as an evacuation craft as well as a diplomatic "portable starbase" after repeated Borg threats to core worlds, the Embassy Class spans some 4675 Feet in length, 2000 feet in beam, and stands 43 decks tall. Owing to its mission profile, there are few science facilities on the craft, mostly relegated to the neck section. Prominent features of the class include the multi-story auditorium below the bridge and, on the inner slope of the saucer, a five-deck tall arboretum provides abundant relaxation to the crew. Above the combination torpedo/sensor platform is the decks 9 and 10 forward lounge, a two-deck recreation area. All recreation areas are equipped with holo-emitters to convert the spaces into emergency sleeping quarters for evacuation purposes. Other emergency features include wide nacelle struts which can serve as landing pads for shuttlecraft if the expansive shuttlebay is at capacity.

I really like that... maybe a lozenge shape insert that drops from the saucer ring?
I've been playing with a craft for the ring, but the windows on the inner ring would be obstructed or the view would be replaced by a flat platform. It also brings it just a little too close to the Galaxy class's profile next to the neck for my liking. I am currently considering lining decks 9 & 10 on the inner ring with docking ports for shuttlecraft.

I've got the arboretum blocked out with exposed spaceframe elements and hatches for hull failure (though there'd be bigger problems if that happened). During evacuations, I imagine the forests would be purged for the holographic sleeping areas to be set up.

Inventive and original!
Thanks :)
The view from the bridge is thus simply a tree lined horizon…excellent
Sadly from the closest you can get to the window, all you can really see are the top deck of quarters and treetops.

View of the Arboretum quarters and emergency air-tight hatch (closed). Is there any consensus on what color the spaceframe should be painted?

The Deck-1 Bridge Module is just about done! (just need to do the chairs. So many chairs.)

The Deck-1 A & B layout. The narrow door just next to the bridge is to the head. The captain's quarters are nearest to the stairs, as is the office. The first officer is on the other, with the officer's lounge just aft of their rooms. Their quarters come equipped with both a sonic shower and a standard sized tub under windows.

A view of the bridge from the turbolift. On revision, the arboretum can be seen from the front window, though you'd have to get kinda close to the transparent aluminum.

I tried doing some panel details; they look good to me, but it's not super complex. I also put in the forward torpedo launcher, the neck grilling, and the windows. To save resources, I have decided that it is currently lights-testing day and everyone has their lights on. On the back of the neck, I've put in the frame for the docking/refueling point, and I'm finally starting to try and figure out what nacelles to give the ship.

I know the undercut-bay from the enterprise B doesn't really make sense for a 25th century ship, but it's more docking space. Maybe they're dedicated bays for workbees and maintenance craft.

I've made some decent progress on the ship, turning the decks 11 & 12 gondola on the bow into a cozy wood-paneled lounge with almost no intrusive views of the ship. I finally blocked out the main conference hall in the core of the saucer so it's not a gaping hole in to the void anymore! On deck 3 above the conference hall, there will be some suites with windows akin to those seen on the Strange-New-Worlds 1701.
I've also blocked out nacelles that fit the era. I realize I've gone a bit ham on the scale as the nacelles are as long as the Enterprise D, haha. <.< >.>
Any feedback on the longer nacelles on a galaxy-esque design would be appreciated :D

I've also done Engineering with a warp core roughly in the style of the California-Class as that's the most recent engineering that I know of. The yellow barrels near the ceiling of hte main room are emergency coolant tanks ready to blast the intermix chamber with enough collant to neutralize even the most catastrophic runaway reaction... at the cost of everyone on the main deck and the lower bays. The yellow consoles on the maintenance catwalk are manual consoles for the coolant tanks.
