Does anyone else laugh when Chekov falls (ST IV)??

it's the way he does it, he does it like some kind of [Slur Redacted]. Plus that "whoaohaha"

I understand he redaction but I also understand the original poster. Chekov never was particularly bright in TOS to begin with; Then he got electrocuted in I, had part of his brain eaten in II, concussed in IV and showed memory lapses in VI

Plenty of stuff to laugh about in that movie, but Chekhov going splat wasn't really high on the list.

Of course, Spock pinching the punk was pretty funny, especially adding in the backstory behind it.

He does not.

The US military personnel though...

ETA: Rewatched again, with and without sound. Still no. The absolutely piss poor way the US NAVY personnel respond to a "General Quarters" alarm, no urgency, no reaction to someone running through their ship, is ridiculous.

True. But I doubt even McCoy could have saved Chekhov if he'd been cut down by a fusillade of M-16 rounds from a dozen soldiers.
