As for Jedi abilities not always being used in a fight, that's for dramatic effect. Most fights would end too quickly for a SW movie if every Jedi simply lifted his/her opponent with the Force, threw them four stories straight up, and let gravity handle the rest. Same thing with Ahsoka and Morgan Elsbeth in the Mandalorian. Ahsoka should have just faceplanted her with the Force, held her there, and . . . . oh, yeah, fight's over. No choreography required. The problem with the Force is that GL allowed it to become a superpower in the PT, which then had to be 'written around.' Jedi should never have been able to leap tall buildings and run faster than the bionic man.
