Robert Butler RIP

RIP Mr. Butler!

What's weird for me is that I was talking about one of his lesser directing efforts just the day before his passing - the pilot for Black Bart, a very awful TV adaption of Blazing Saddles.

RIP, to a director who was forward thinking in direction a pilot that too was forward-thinking as it feels far more like TNG than TOS (and for all the right reasons)... may he journey well...

If you haven't seen this series of videos of his, it is a brilliant lens on the history of 60s-80s TV. ST, obviously, but his work on Hogan's and Hill Street especially are fascinating.
