VERY SHORT TREKS...

I like the Lower Decks dialogue. Guessing Mike McMahan or someone on that staff wrote their part.

That was a lot of fun! I remember Timo having a similar idea a few years ago in a thread on here. I was kind of hoping to see Trip be blown to bits :D

These very shorts are covering the gamut in terms of comedy and, so far, they all have been a hit. YMMV, obviously, but I think they're all done well. Not all jokes are going to land.

The latest one is definitely the cleverest of the bunch. I love puns and wordplay for sure, and gross-out to a point , but this one had a ton of rather first-rate surprises.

I'd argue this one is the best as well, as it's paying homage to all incarnations of the show as well as being cleverer.

It's not the funniest one. That would be the first one. But like mentioned it was very clever and a nice take down in regards to the Enterprise Valentine series final we got.

It passed two minutes.

Would this be the first instance in which a cast member from every single series of Star Trek appeared in one production?

The cast list is impressive.

"Turtles all the way down" is a very well-known expression.

Interesting phrase... but I've been an English teacher for 15+ years and I've never come across the expression before.

They used the first three to soften us up for the latest one.

Which begs the question, "What's next, I wonder?"

Somebody had a field day when they started learning what a "Recursive Algorithm" was in their intro to Holodeck Programming guide.

Or was such a massive fan of the Doctor Who stories "Castrovalva" and "Planet of Fire" for some reason, as "Recursive" and "Algorithm" sound rather charming together and the random attachment of disparate words is the sort of shipping I certainly don't mind.

It would have been better if the title did not give away the whole thing before it even starts. "Turtles all the way down" is a very well-known expression.

Thanks for the link! I'd not heard of it before... I could theorize a bowl of turtle soup being slurped down by somebody, but that's pretty gross.

Well, except Picard.

Nobody's perfect? :(
