The new CW is going to fail miserably in my city. The station that originally had CW had been an independent station for years, picked up UPN, which became CW when WB and UPN merged, but they refused to air LIV Golf because of their ties to CBS which has a relationship with the PGA. This fall they dropped CW and another station picked it up for their substation, which isn't even HD.

The CW app on my ROKU is a good substitute if you don't mind watching commercials. But the schedule doesn't look all that great. I wait for the shows to hit MAX.

I was 20 years old when “Close Encounters” came out, and I can still remember swearing that the Saucer had the Chicago skyline on one side, and the New York skyline on the other.

Years later, I came to know that was not true, but still…if I use my imagination…

There's a scam ad I see on Facebook all the time. Some store claims they will no longer sell dice sets so get them for these crazy low prices while you can, when in fact they're already cheap dice sets from China and the blowout price is actually a nice profit for them.

Does anybody know exactly what the differences are in the laws about animal abuse against dogs vs against farm animals? I followed a couple situations where there were a 100+ farms animals that had been neglected, and were all sick and in absolutely horrible shape, and the person or people responsible were only got animal abuse charges for a some of them. Now out here in AZ they found a woman had ran "rescue" and had 55 dogs on her property that she had been neglecting, and she's being charged with neglect against all 55 of them.

He got back to me @publiusr and said he hasn't had any of issues you describe but he lives in the burb of Pelham that has a separate library system.

The definition of what is the "best possible food" is not quite so clear-cut as the All-Natural Marketing Machine would have us believe.

It's not black and white, but ever since I got used to less processed food I can hardly stand the heavily processed stuff anymore. And the effect on energy levels is also pretty distinct between microwaving a frozen dinner and cooking it up from vegetables.

Packaged all natural stuff is horrendously overpriced and often not as healthy as it claims of course. "Superfood" is a useless label.
