They do that all the time in my neighborhood, we hear them all the time while we're out on our walks.

Fun fact: A lot of horses are born gray, but get lighter as they get older, to the point that they're more or less white. The only horses tell if a horse is really white and not gray is if they have a completely pink nose. I was trying to find a video showing this on youtube, but had no luck.
