Heritage Auctions is offering the science fiction collection of the late Greg Jein on October 14-15. There is a massive number of Trek props, costumes, photos (many quite rare!) and more from TOS through the Kelvin films. Even if you don't bid (and I for sure am not), it's great to just look at these items! Please look through each lot, there are many items included. https://entertainment.ha.com/c/sear...N=53+793+794+791+792+2088+4294934714&Ntt=trek

They made Picard's jacket for Frakes as well? And reused the Cage tunics with new black neck parts?

The Klingon battlecruiser was not made for TNG Emissary, but for TMP, and a picture from TMP was simply reused in TNG.

I wonder if Jein's heirs were confused about the proper identity of some of these items?

This particular model was made to be used on TNG, it is considerably smaller than the one made for TMP. It also lacks almost all of the detailing on the underside of the main hull that TMP had.

That is one amazing collection. Not just the Trek stuff either.

As Indiana Jones would say…”it belongs in a museum”

Yeah it's Riker having a jacket too that's the most surprising thing for me.

Also love seeing Chekov's Starfleet ID card.

This was being discussed on Facebook. All instances of the K’Tinga in TNG were stock footage from TMP, with one exception. Greg Jein built a battlecruiser model specifically for the Qualor II surplus depot in ‘Unification.’ This is apparently that model; the listing erroneously says it was from ‘The Emissary.’

Thanks. But I was looking for people's personal photos like the scads of yummy reference that we got from the Christie's auction so many moons ago.

ILM is selling off assets from their shuttered model shop.

RPF guys are buying it up

What’s RPF?

Genuinely stumped.

Google either thinks it’s Real Person Fiction (which doesn’t make sense in this context) or Rwandan Patriotic Front (while I admit I know nothing of their activities, I have doubts they snap up models from ILM).

It's a forum that does recreations of props, costumes and such. They like seeing originals to get as accurate as possible in their recreations. Link here.
