Half black, half white and half Canadian, Ginger is the pilot of the Kobayashi Maru (the perfect place to put a crewman who has failed in every other position!) Ginger's people are trapped in a race war between the ones who are black with white stripes and those who are white with black stripes. His dichromatic, octopus-like skin could be the sign that he is the Chosen One, meant to heal his world's conflict. (And if he ever remembers where his world is located, he may do just that!)
