What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Am I imagining things, or does DeForest Kelley's autograph look really, really similar to the Walt Disney signature title? I've never noticed that until now...

Fun Fact, that's not actually Walt Disney's real signature. One of his animators drew it up, then Walt had to learn to sign his name that way, once everyone expected his signature to look like that.

I would think that by the 23rd or 24th centuries the Face ID tech or even the older thumbprint ID of the iPhone would have probably progressed to the point that it would be as good an identifier as a cursive signature.

I mean the ID of cursive signatures being supplanted by another form of identifier is not that crazy. Once people used wax seals and signets to codify verification onto documents. That fell out of favor with rubber stamps and signatures became verifiable.

I think retina scans are the new normal.

There is no honor in being told to leave, at least not until you've gotten into the establishment.

I just press my junk up against the pane window and they let me in.

After using a microscope to verify that it's you, of course. :nyah:

But there's wisdom in not entering when told to keep out. Especially in a country that has 4% of the world's people and 47% of the world's guns.

Dukat should've died at the end of "Sacrifice of Angels". Even though I think "Waltz" was his last good episode, it's not enough justification in my mind to keep the character around, because Post-"Waltz" Dukat is like a cartoon character. There's no other way to say it than to say it.

I agree. Dukat was interesting when he was the likeable unlikeable guy; the sympathetic monster; the brutal fascistic military dictator who was also cultured, intelligent, witty, and charming. That he could make your skin crawl while also being the highlight of any episode he was in, that you could find yourself liking him, was fascinating. Having him go off the deep end into a much more two-dimensional moustache-twirling maniacal villain utterly ruined the character.
