Thank you - just bought and downloaded. Looking forward to listening to this later.
I’m about halfway through the audiobook and utterly loving it. I loved the book way back when and the revisit has not disappointed —so far lol. Highly recommended for anyone considering it.
Plus it supports the author and the legacy of the original book, if you’d like and have the means to do so.

Has anyone read it or listened to it recently? I just finished the audio a few days ago and I’m still caught in it’s wake.
I wish artists would tackle the original characters in it — Lokar, Palandine, Pythas, others.
I’d also forgotten that it ends on a minor cliffhanger. God I wish Robinson followed up on it.

Prophecy and Change features a short follow-up titled "The Calling". I don't know if it has the kind of answers you want, but...
And several non-Robinson novels also continue Garak's story after Stitch.
Isn't there a short two-hander play that Robinson and Siddig would perform at conventions that goes between them? Did that ever end up recorded or published anywhere?
Yes, the play (set between the novel and the short story) was performed at conventions. But no, it is not available in print. (EDIT: See next post!)

Yeah I think I read it some years back. But it didn’t leave much of an impression on me. I might look it up again when I get back home — I’m away on vacation now.
But yeah I remember it being more impressionistic and dreamlike than a narrative proper, and I don’t remember it following up on the cliffhanger bit.
I’m aware and have read a number of other Garak stories. Most recently Second Self by Una McCormack and just last night I started her early fanfic “Scorched Earth” with a version of him in it.
But Robinson himself did a marvelous marvelous marvelous job with the intricate backstory of the character (if it’s to be believed!), along with with insights into the Cardassian capital, Cardassian life forms and folklore, the Cardassian mind. Garak’s long sordid fraught history and pathos…in three different time periods…with interesting new characters and delightful old…and Robinson did it all in his own writing style that I really very much enjoyed. Clear, full, brisk…accurate to the esoteric details of the Star Trek universe, and emotionally and intellectually satisfying as literature.
I would love it if Robinson takes what’s hopefully a successful audiobook run as motivation to write more in the Star Trek universe.

It's still just the Blackstone release I see visiting on Amazon US.
Also, $200-$500 for the print copy on Amazon! I assume that eBay or some other site has some print copies for a bit less than that.

One of the most highly regarded and popular Star Trek books and it never saw another printing. I gave up and got it on Kindle.
I’m just really impressed a first-time Trek writer (first time novelist?) did such an amazing job on multiple levels of this book.
And I love that it expanded far beyond the characters and settings we know to really broaden the scope of the character, the universe, the time periods.

It looks like Amazon US has now added their own copies for sale since you posted. I don't know if they ship worldwide, but they do ship to Canada.
Only downside is they're $39.99, versus the $25.99 for the Blackstone listing.
