Atlanta might just be unbeatable. The giants are actually playing better tonight and the Braves just keep coming. I also saw the Dodger game today and it was almost inevitable that they were going to win. If it’s not LA and Atlanta in the NLCS that will be an upset.

Hey! Avery deserves more than "other guy" status! Sure, he wasn't as high caliber as the other three but he was still very good, albeit for less time.

From 93-02 they won 100 games five times (and another time in 2003 minus Glavine), yet won the WS the only time with those guys in 1995 with only 90 wins. Only made the WS one other time in that period in 1999.

The Giants actually won a game in Atlanta. If only last night Rogers hadn't given up that HR they might have taken the series, but at least they escape Atlanta with a win.

They already have the Yankees & Tigers scheduled for next year's game.

The Saturday game was early, like a getaway game, so they could travel from DC up to Williamsport.

Jerry Krause was, in fact, a really good talent evaluator. He was just a jackass.

Also, y'know, having the greatest player of all time on the roster didn't hurt.

Shohei Ohtani torn UCL in his right elbow, done pitching for the year. Mike Trout is going back on the IL right after coming off it.

Ohtani has had "arm fatigue" for a week or two, no? Yet they kept playing him knowing he has a history of arm troubles and other assorted injuries.

He also had a UCL injury and surgery in 2018, plus 3 other "elbow" issues in 2019 & 2021.

Apparently "going all in" means sacrificing your best player's health.
