I’m really frustrated by this - not only is it not available to buy in the UK, but Amazon US say they won’t ship the CD to the UK.

I tried logging into amazon.com then audible.com, still no good! Pretty certain it's applying geo-location to the search results.

If someone in the US goes to buy some stuff from Big Finish, does the site tell you to get lost or does it take your money and you download a zip folder of MP3s?

Depends om how you feel about the prices. The latter. But I'm not sure how applicable one small business's own store is comparable to a huge publisher and a huger retailer.

If I look at the US Amazon, it's still showing the CD as preorder only. Maybe once they actually have in stock, then it will be eligible to ship to the UK? Hopefully?

It definitely says it can’t be shipped to the UK and appears available.

The only way I've gotten around that is asking a US-based friend to take delivery, using their address for the order, and then reimburse them for postage to me.

True, a bigger company can ignore revenue streams in a way a smaller operator like BF cannot.

Equally, if BF can do global online sales then there's nothing stopping S&S setting things up to do so. In this case it looks like they've decided they don't want to.

I’m glad you mentioned the price: that listing appears to be for a Marketplace seller (Blackstone Publishing). That one won’t ship to me in Canada, either. But the listing for Amazon itself, which still shows as preorder, does look like it will ship to me. Obviously I don’t know for sure, so it may still be blocked from UK shipment, but maybe it will be eligible to ship to you too, when it’s available?

Of course, it’s also US$14 more expensive, so…
