Paramount loses more than a quarter of its value, analyst believes they should "just quit streaming"

My kids are teenagers now, but try as hard as I could, neither one had much interest in action figures or models. My youngest liked Lego a lot, which is about the closest most kids come to model-building anymore. I dutifully purchased the Hasbro knockoff ones that came out with Into Darkness, but he never liked those as much as the Star Wars ones.

And to confirm @fireproof78 ‘s post, both spent way more time with Minecraft and Roblox.

As far as merchandising and apps ... Given the amount of ads I see to download "Star Trek Fleet Command" on YouTube and TikTok, I wonder if the gaming side of Star Trek brings in a decent sum for Paramount.

Debating... what, exactly?

I was confused by that too. There were reports about Paramount+ not doing well, they took some shows off their service as a tax write off, and suddenly they are garnering 1% of viewership on the heals of probably their two most popular Star Treks in Season 3 of Picard and SNW. I think they are still struggling, and now with the strikes going on, taking Prodigy off the service looks even dumber than it did before. One spec of good news isn't going to change the entirety of the big picture.

1%…….is that a good thing??

Yes. This is my first time seeing the numbers, and they are illuminating. Disney is at 2%, Hulu is 3.5% and Netflix is 8.2%. Max is only at 1.4%. So Paramount isn't doing too bad, especially if they are on an upward trend.

Given that pluto is at the bottom, here's what a larger picture of the total VOD / Streaming Competitive land-scape looks like.

Plenty of Consolidation should be coming soon.

1% sounds bad but seeing the numbers in context is interesting. Somehow I thought Disney+ would be much higher.

The Prodigy game did embarrassingly badly and the Lower Decks one only has a few hundred players, but Timelines and Fleet Command seem to have a solid following and Online is still somehow going.

I'd be interested to know how Resurgence did, but Epic are opaque with their data.
