Star Trek Voyager Desktop Wallpapers

Only bc she's changed so much, I thought you might find it interesting. Seasons 1-2 were not very good, IMHO, but season 3 was really fun.
I understand - but no thanks. The more I hear about it, the more it sounds like it's a bad show.

And to watch two horrible seasons for the sake of one better season? I'll pass on that, thx. Most of the new Trek shows are pretty meh ... :brickwall:
But once again, thx for pointing it out to me.

So here's Tommyboy for today - from time-honoured THIRTY DAYS. Enjoy! :adore:

^ I love this. The black and white background with the black and silver border just at the top and bottom looks like a frame from an old movie.
Thanks. I also like black and white pictures with a pinch of colour. But black and white is not really my speciality unless the episode warrants it. I prefer colours. Still, there are a few more black and white pictures on the way, especially for Bride of Chaotica!

But for today we have Seven - also partly black and white  - from HUMAN ERROR:

Question: Are those eyes and if so, whose?
Sorry, you'll need to be more specific than that. Which part of the picture are we talking about?

The answer, however, is probably a no, considering I don't remember putting any extra eyes on that wallpaper. Although it was a long time ago I made the above one. And now you got me curious so I'd like to know which part of the picture you think looks like it contains extra "eyes"?

These things around Seven.

Ah, the butterflies, okay. Well no, those things that look like eyes are just part of the pattern on the butterflies. I think it's purely aesthetical, I doubt the butterflies actually use those as organs of perception (if memory serves they "see" through something on their heads and not on their backs).

So no, I'm afraid there are no extra eyes in this picture. I have quite a few wallpapers where eyes play a significant role - you might recall MELD, for example and I also have an interesting one for WARLORD, but I haven't started sharing stuff for that ep yet - so no, this one is "eyeless" other than the featured characters' eyes.

Nice! Very nice... I love the difference profile angles, and stylistic techniques on display here!

yes! Fairhaven!

I didn’t realize that the guy who played Seamus was also Betei in The Inner Light! I never would have known had I not looked on IMDb to see what else that actor had been in. I also looked up Sullivan and he was in Game of Thrones. I never recognized him there either…

Thanks CM. I made that picture a long time ago and I remember struggling with it. Getting Seven in the wallpaper where she gets Chakotay's finger in her mouth was a bother. But yeah ultimately I also liked the outcome - so I thought it was worth it.

I'm afraid I don't really know (let alone like ...) TNG very much but at least I do remember that episode. Star Trek uses a lot of actors over and over again and I'm sometimes also surprised to discover people from other shows. I know DS9 better than TNG and there I am always amazed by how many faces I recognize from Voyager.

And since you seem to be new here, welcome to my thread. Feel free to browse through my 1000+ wallpapers and download the ones you like.

I was hoping you had higher resolution copies of these images somewhere.

Yah, I am more familiar with deep space nine than anything else but there’s not one Star Trek show that I don’t like. I love them all. Especially the new ones.

I have this theory about Odo: A changeling needs to be able to completely mimic whoever they are pretending to be, especially if they are doing it over a long period of time. Eventually, they will know everything about who they are pretending to be, and they literally become them: we didn’t know that for about two months Bashir was a changeling who even helped Odo try to save a baby changeling. I’m surprised Odo didn’t figure it out, but Psuedo-Bashir had everything about the real Bashir down perfectly.

later, Vic Fontaine starts Odo off with a player piano, I believe by the end of those “lessons“, Odo actually learned how to play. I think a changeling would have to have those capabilities…

“To become a thing is to know a thing. To assume its form is to begin to understand its existence.”

of course, their recent appearance on Picard added a little bit, so now we can call changelings Orange goo people. But those changelings were a special breed… I was hoping for more references to Odo and the female changeling

Ah, that would be lovely, wouldn't it? But I'm even struggling with 1360x768 (don't ask me why Postimages makes them even smaller when I tell it every time NOT TO ...:barf:). The input material (=the film stills) for VOY is of such bad quality, my God. I wish VOY had been released on Blu-ray or something ... but no really, you can actually see at a glance these days that those images come from a different millennium.

Of course, the fact that more than half of the show was shot in the dark does not help either. For Heaven's sake, someone please turn the lights on aboard Janeway's ship - I can't see a thing. And I understand that when the episode somehow justifies it but mostly it's just ... well no idea what it is really, maybe the make-up people were not quite ready when the shooting started so the director ordered the lights to be turned off. I honestly can't think of any more "logical" explanation than that.

So ... sorry but higher resolution pics will probably not happen. They'd either look horrendous or would take five times as long to photoshop as now ... :wah:

Oh good, you are a genuine fan then. I definitely can bearly watch the rest, I only like VOY. I can tolerate DS9 but the sheer number of boring episodes usually puts me off watching it. As for the rest - I like to forget they ever happened. There are a few episodes I like here and there - but mostly I find the other shows just boring.

I've never seen a single ep with Archer that I liked ... meh ...
Love it! For some reason I just like this episode.
Thanks. And I'm glad you like this ep - not my fav but quite good. The costumes are definitely very memorable and lend themselves easily to making colourful VOY wallpapers.
How are things, btw? Haven't seen too much of you on my thread recently - you definitely don't seem to be as active as earlier. But I guess it's real life ...

And then for today we have COLD FIRE:

Love! I remember feeling relief the Ocampa had the ability to extend their lifespans. I always felt terrible for them like mayflies. By most account I’ve read even long-lived people feel life can be too short but the Ocampa lifespan thing always bugged me.

Thanks for asking, I’ve been happily occupied by real life. Sometimes it’s stressful and sometimes it’s just busy- I’ve just been busy! Glad you all seem well :adore:
