CSI is the only of the current franchises I ever regularly watched, even though I haven't for decades, I'll have to say that.

I gave up on it around season 4. The problem with franchises is that they get repetitive. I gave up on NCIS a long time ago as well. Probably the only franchises that I continue to watch are Doctor Who and Star Trek on TV/Streaming. Otherwise, horror franchises tend to keep things going for cinema. Check out the Conjuring.

I felt like at the beginning they wrote very interesting mysteries, then they got away from focusing on good mysteries and focused more on bland mysteries on theme for the character drama. And also got progressively less and less plausible.

For me, it's the "Rookie" franchise, followed by 9-1-1. That said, I find 9-1-1 Lonestar almost unwatchable.

Now, with the OG 9-1-1 moving to ABC next season (whenever the writers go back to work), there's a chance the franchise will all be under one umbrella. The shows already share fire trucks, so why not?

Chicago.

I did a season or two of the FBI shows as they tied in, but I lost interest.

Recently admitted to myself that I the 911 shows were terrible and was sitting through them by habit. So stopped.

I'm definitely stoked by the upcoming Law & Order: Toronto. :techman:

As for FBI: Have there been any other bits linking it to the Chicago/L&O universe, other than that one appearance by Hailey Upton?

Wheatley is still alive and Dylan McDermott had to arrest himself on FBI: Most Wanted. :p

Came up with a new One Chicago show, Chicago Donuts. You an crossover with Chicago PD because cops eat donuts. You can crossover with Chicago Med with people who eat too many donuts. Still have to figure out the Chicago Fire connection.

Maybe they can have a crossover with William Murduch's actor playing an an ancestor ;)

Arson at the Donut shop :D

I see what you did there. :techman:

Well, they had already done one with another CBC show, Republic of Doyle. Allan Hawco appeared on Murdoch Mysteries playing an ancestor to his character on Republic of Dolye. In turn, Yannick Bisson went over to Republic of Doyle and played Murdoch's Descendent. The fun thing they did with Murdoch Mysteries was they took the cast to Newfoundland where Republic of Doyle is set, with George visiting his family.

Now the fun thing about Murdoch Mysteries is that it previously was on Citytv, which commissioned L&O: Toronto. So, there's a chance he could be asked to make a cameo even if just ends up playing a similar character.
