The Least Disliked Episode 2023: ENT Season 2

Agreed, S2 is so bland and uninspired, outside of maybe four of five episodes.

Cease Fire is a disappointing next part in the ongoing Vulcan/Andorian story. I love Jeffrey Combs, and Suskie Plakson is fun as an Andorian here, but it's just average, and nothing to get really excited about.

Carbon Creek
Minefield
Dead Stop
The Communicator
Judgment
The Expanse

Removing Carbon Creek. There is nothing wrong with it for what it is. It also is a pretty meaningless episode in terms of really anything happening of any consequence. I always applaud trying new things; but I wouldn’t call it great.

Minefield
Dead Stop
The Communicator
Judgment
The Expanse

I have pounded the gavel, and my ruling is "JUDGMENT" will be taken off the list.

Nice homage to STVI, and you never went wrong with casting Hertzler. But it introduced an even worse version of the Duras family with... Duras, for this series, so it leaves because I just couldn't stand him.

Agreed on all counts. It really was genius to put Hertzler in that role though. It makes it extra poignant- the slow decay of the Klingon empire.

Truly the worst season of Trek in the entire franchise. I even struggle to think what would get second worst. Voyager season 7? It is so rare for a Trek season to be consistently bad the whole time.

The back half of season 2 of Disco is the worst run of Star Trek episodes yet produced - but the first half has a lot of great stuff in it. We have many other seasons like that, soaring highs and crushing lows.

Only ENT season 2 and VOY season 7 managed to consistently fail for an entire year.

TOS's third season often seems like the producers had a lobotomy after S2, but at least there were more recommendable episodes than ENT S2. I also struggle to get through the first season of TNG.

VOY was a pretty inconsistent series on the whole outside of seasons four and five.

I sat this one out, I realized I don't even remember the vast majority of episodes this season, they all blur together into a meh paste.
Like a smoothie and someone put beetroot into it, with the beetroot being the quality if the writing this seasons, it overpowers everything else and the only way to solve the problem is to pour it down the drain.

S1 I liked a lot and feel is like a 7/10. Not stupendous but I think there's good enough character interaction.

S2 there is a downturn in quality and the lack of a serious b-cast or regular's hurts the cast. A 4.5/10.

If I had to cut the season down to the 10-episode season used by SNW, I'd have to choose....

SEASON 2:
  1. Minefield.
  2. Dead Stop.
  3. The Communicator.
  4. Cease Fire.
  5. Canamar.
  6. Judgment.
  7. Horizon.
  8. Breach.
  9. Cogenitor.
  10. Regeneration.
