What are you watching???

I saw a trailer for a Mad Max looking show at work starring Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi.

I went home, researched it, realized there were already three seasons out on Max, so I've been watching Miracle Workers. I'm liking it pretty good so far. I'm up to Season Two Episode 2.

I love the fact that Daniel Radcliffe, instead of riding the Harry Potter coattails, is doing his own thing and starring in a bunch of weird stuff like this and Swiss Army Man :)

watched Jackie Chan's City Hunter on Tubi last night. it was alright but the movie was too cartoony and dumb. Green Knight was great even though it was long at 2 hours

Right now im watching Space Raiders on Tubi and the comedy Kevin Kline movie In and Out that i recorded with my DVR

An old but gold football anime called Aoki Densetsu Shoot! (Blue Legend Shoot!)

What I really like about this anime and older media in general is that character's motivations are a lot deeper than most media produced these days.
The characters have their own motivations and desires, they react to developing situations and don't simply degenerate into side or background roles.
In my opinion the main protagonist becomes a bit arrogant, certain people react to that which makes things more entertaining.

Wanted to get my way for once, but there's no need to be a beast about it. I picked four completely random movies, and asked my wife to "pick one" from the selection below...

American Psycho.
American Grafitti.
America's Sweethearts.
American Beauty.

After 15 minutes of America's Sweethearts, she turned the movie off, and queued up a documentary on how The Spice Girls changed Britain.

Saturday and Sunday I did a re-watch of season 3 of For All Mankind over on Apple+. Such a damn fine show, cannot wait for season 4 to drop sometime later this year (late Fall?). I found if I hit the fast forward button every time the Dany Stevens character was on screen, the season was SO MUCH more enjoyable. ;)

Can you handle subtitles?

Timeless is a cartoon compared to The Ministry of Time.

The original show is in Spanish, there's a remake in Portuguese, and Ministry of time sued Timeless for ripping them off, even though the 2 shows tend to be not alike at all.
Looks fun! Thanks!

Still watching season 3 of Ted Lasso.

Recently completed Season 10: Freelancer of Red vs. Blue. I forgot how much of an emotional roller coaster that season is. It's funny to me how a short form comedy web series can go from making quips about being a bad shot to a full on analysis of how trauma and pain can perpetuate unhealthy behavior. Yeah, we both were crying at the end. Excellent work.

bought/ordered the DVD Special edition of Beastmaster from Walmart so pretty soon Ill be watching that

and watching The Wizard on Tubi sometime this week or the weekend and watching these movies for DVD

Batman
Batman Returns

Episode 3 of Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia. (Insomniacs after school)

The usual High School Astronomy Club fare with a slight twist, I like the art style in particular though.

Unfortunately Anime is very formulaic, always has been to a degree, I guess you can say the same about all forms of media.

finished watching Police Story 2004 on Tubi earlier.

Not bad for a Police Story movie just wish it didnt have to be 2 frikkin hours
