Season 2 Episode titles, writers, directors revealed...

Loving some of these titles...

I was also hoping that Frakes would direct an episode, but it doesn't appear as if he did (though not all directors have been announced).
He directed the LDS Crossover which is most likely episode 7 based off the title.

I mentioned this in the comments of the episode page, but for episode 7 you have the writers listed as the director(s).

"Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" sounds like a very TOS-style title to me. And it's nice that they're keeping the tradition of getting titles from Shakespeare quotes alive. From Macbeth:
Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
Judging from the title, it seems likely it'll be a time travel story. Perhaps it'll be the Lower Decks crossover episode?

EDIT: Never mind. I see from the link posted above that Jonathan Frakes is directing the LDS crossover, and Amanda Row is listed as the director of "Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" is likely the one where they're shopping at Roots.

And presumably, "Hegemony" is this season's Gorn episode.

"Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" seems more like a Farscape title to me. And that's fine too. Man, I can't wait another month...

Absolutely. Never thought of him much as a director in the first place, and at this point, he's just treading creative water
 
Yes. There is definitely a need for them to inject some new talent with fresh ideas. Kurtzman has already been with the franchise for 14 years, now. Berman's entire run was 18.
 
Well, you can always see if Tarantino is available. I'm sure his fresh ideas will be...well, they will be something new.
 
I'm only a fan of a few of his films, but I was still in favor of the idea. At the very least, it would show TBTP are actually willing to take some creative risk, instead of just bouncing the nostalgia cue behind the eight-ball.

Kurtzman is only creatively involved with Discovery at this point.
His roles on the other series seem to be just logistical.

He's the boss of the production company that makes them. If the showrunners of the individual shows are the captains, he and his partner Heather Kadin are the admirals they report to. So basically like Rick Berman in the TNG era or Herb Solow on TOS.


I'm surprised all the discussion in this thread about the title Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow yet no one has mentioned that was already used as the title of an Orville episode.

It's a Macbeth quote. It's been the title of a number of episodes, movies, novels, stories, etc over the decades. (Also, the Orville title included commas, so it's not technically the same.)
