Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I may be done with purchasing through Master Replicas. Trying to decide if I'll buy any ships in this wave. I've placed 3 orders in the last three waves and had issues with two of them.
first order missing the nog and customer service "looking into it" but no definitive answer. The second order missing completely (tracking shows scheduled for collection April 13?) Order 3 has already shipped. :cardie:

I've reached out to their customer service email and received no reply. Starting to get a bit concerned. Now I know how y'all felt with eaglemoss proper. (Ironically never had an issue with my sub)

Collection is up, but the USS Nog is missing for some reason, and they have the Discovery dedication plaque instead.

Discovery D-7, the XL NX-01, vulcan long range shuttle and V'ger are already sold out apparently.

Ooooo... I like the dreadnought in regular Starfleet colors.

So from today’s drop I broke down and picked up Spock and the Space 1999 Eagle, tried for the Laboratory version of the latter, but it sold out almost immediately.

I meant to get the Speed of Light plaque, but got distracted by the Laboratory module selling out and forgot about it until I hit “COMPLETE”. Oops… lol

Okay, well, saving be damned, I ordered the K-7, ring ship, NX-01 refit, and the Orville shuttle. I suspect it's going to be a while before any of them reach my door, since I'm still waiting on the Spacedock.

Honestly, I kind of hope they don't release the Caretaker's Array or Ty'Gokor station for a while, so I can have some time to pay this down.

The Array and Ty'Gokor station are the last things i might be tempted to get, along with the USS Jubayr if it ever sees the light of day, otherwise I think I’m done.

Got the Ringship and the Excelsior.

Excelsior is a “common” but was one I always passed on but would have bought had I know Eaglemoss was going out.

I think it’s good for me at this rate, 1 or 2 ships every 3rd drop. Not too expensive.

Wow, this was a popular drop. The ringship, both NX-01’s, V’Ger, the Vulcan shuttle, 1701-D plaque and Disco D-7 are all already gone.

Nothing in this drop that I needed. Friend of mine noticed that the NXL and NX Refit appeared mixed up but were sorted quickly.
I'm waiting for the USS Jubayr and the Caretaker Array.

I would LOVE to see that thing close up. Finding good views of it have been problematic.
When it arrives, I'll be sure to share pics in this thread.

So far, so good - ordered 2 models from previous waves and they both arrived in good order, though I have to get used to customs officers in between these days. But goodness I'm glad I put up an alarm this time, one hour later, some have already sold out again. Hopefully the NX refit and Excelsior will arrive as well as my "we've found a second box" Concorde did, I still cannot believe my luck with that one. :D

That leaves 2 models on my "I should have ordered those at the time" list. Fingers crossed...

Yeah, thinking on it the only two “must haves” I have left are the Cerritos and Enterprise F.

the only “maybes” that I can think of are the “Flight Mode” Bird of Prey, and Andorian Battle Cruiser from Enterprise.

BUT the resin is not as strong as the metal/plastic ships Eaglemoss fed us. Get the right stands, or bear gravity in mind when sforing your models because they will become warped (pun not intended).
For what it's worth, I prefer the 5-inch versions, they're only $10 more. One other thing to note, they tend to print darker than they look on the website, so keep that in mind.
Gravity and soft materials is one reason why I want a smaller one - and the price (50% more for one inch).
It'll still be somewhat comparable to the EM ships in size, right?

The five inchers are a little closer to the average Eaglemoss. I get a five inch if it's a larger ship and four for a smaller one.

5-inch is roughly EM size. It can be affected by the size of the ship - both for GamePrint and EM it's true that long, narrow ships will turn out small despite having the 5-inch/12cm length at the widest point.

Here's a selection of EM and GamePrint ships side by side. All roughly same size, it turns out:

Which one do you think is more worth it IYO?

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but would the XL models look comparable in scale to the diamond select from a few years back? That lack of Enterprise C is a thorn in my side...

The XLs are substantially smaller than the Diamond Select ships. I got the XL Ent-D as my first ever Eaglemoss ship and I was surprised at how small it is. Probably half the length of the DS ships.

I prefer the Eaglemoss model because of the stability of the material, and the greater crispness. With the resin models, I need to store them carefully, while the EM models are kept in totes.

However, GamePrint has ship classes EM lacks, so it works as a filler. For instance, I got myself the canon Ambassador class refit (shorter pylons, Bussards with caps) that EM never made. it's also great when making a ship with a unique or personal name - I got a Voyager-A and a Federation star cruiser labelled USS Protostar, or the Vengeance-class dreadnought with Starfleet livery.

So, even if you don't play or even like STO, it's models can fill gaps in our collections.

The Diamond Select models are much larger than the Eaglemoss XL's. Lemme see if I can photograph a comparison...

Oh, you got the con exclusive! Thank you for the image, that's perfect. Guess we're basically out of luck, eh? Oh well, the other Enterprises are awesome!
