I'm not sure if they're done with the TNG crew as a whole.
Why the last minute back down on the ships name (USS Picard) ?

Why this "One year later" and implying that the Enterprise-D was back in service during that year?

That leaves a lot of room for at least one more movie or mini-series with the TNG crew.........and te Enterprise-D.

I didn't get any implication that the Enterprise D was back in service. I just took it that it's restoration was completed during that time.

I would imagine we're done in terms of future seasons/films being geared around the seven together, but I'd imagine we'll see cameos from some, or groups of them possibly going forward.

Does make you wonder though, had Season 1 or 2 been as popular as Season 3 has been, would they have opted for the 5-year run instead of the 3-year one? Possibly.

The "one year later" thing was left vague. Was it a year of restoration...was it a year of service..

Good question, maybe future stories will clarify that

I guess we might still get cameos from them here and there, but, yeah, this is the last time we see them as a group.

If the opportunity arises the only characters I can really see making regular recurring appearances are Riker and Geordi

Maybe the poll should have been worded what do we want then what do we think…I think that was it. But I voted gimme another movie. Though I’d even hope it were for the Big Screen than a TV movie.

*but only if they did it exactly how I’d want it to be over everyone else.

As a crew most likely yes. As individual characters…..probably not.

Of these options, I chose "Yes, that's it." As a crew all together and on the Enterprise-D, I think this is it. This was the Grand Finale they didn't get back in the 2000s.

Individual guest-appearances? I'm sure we'll see them somewhere.

For the TV Movies, I lean more towards that's what Discovery is going to be. Besides, I'm in the camp that's hoping we'll get Legacy out of Picard. So I'm hoping for more than just a TV Movie when it comes to Star Trek set in the 25th Century.

Ah yeah, that's it in terms of a crew. They're all in their 70s or older, and the body does slow down decade by decade. Beyond that, I'd imagine filming a show is an absolute pain in the a"se. Long long, days. A proper test of endurance. Cameos now, and that'll probably be the extent of it.

Ironically, this crew feels less "done" to me now than they did after Nemesis. Sure, Nemesis wasn't good, but it did feel final. Data was dead, Riker and Troi were moving on, it was the end of that era.

Now? Data is back, Riker is back, the Ent-D is back, they're hanging out playing poker again – when the credits rolled on episode 10, I just felt like "Cool. What's the next adventure?"

I think in terms of all of them together, crewing the Enterprise, they are done.

Though each could pop up in LD (Riker & Troi already have), Prodigy, or a Legacy series.

Heck, do we know what century Georgiou landed in yet? 32nd was too distant for her to deal with, but 24th/25th might be close enough to 22nd for her to be OK.

S3 was a perfect sendoff for the TNG crew. So, I think we are done with them.

Will we see individuals crewmembers again? Yes. The TNG crew in small groups? Yes. But the seven together again, no.

Even if there was a miniseries or tv movie with Riker captaining the Ent-D for that missing year, its not a TNG reunion like S3 was. Its more a ‘what if Riker captained the Ent-D’ situation.

As for the hypothetical Picard S4 idea listed in the poll, what would occur in such a season that won’t occur with Legacy or a TNG movie? Besides Patrick Stewart ending Picard’s story his way? Since I’ve read Matalas’s ideas of what did not make it into PIC S3 (Kira, Admiral Janeway, Captain Kim, Fenris Ranger Naomi Wildman, Seven and Picard rescue Ro from the Intrepid, Data meeting Soji) and like the planned Confederation First Gentleman Chakotay idea for S2 and the planned Tom Paris cameo for S1 or that Justice League Trek idea, its largely feel-good stuff that could happen in any series or movie. Even the PIC S1/2 cast meeting the TNG crew could happen in a tv movie. So, there would need to be a story that would have to have as good a sendoff as what was seen with S3.

I think it was a good way to end and final.

But I agree with those above- probably individual cameos. Geordi and Beverly if Legacy becomes a show. Definitely Riker. Probably Worf. Likely Troi. Picard and Data seem less likely to me. But I, of course, don’t know anything.

The most appealing thing to me about Legacy is I could totally see it having cool cameos from TNG, DS9 and Voyager. I think a lot of the actors from all those shows would be more likely for a one off.

As a whole, I think so, and it's perfect.
    The Rikers are reconciled.
Data had achieved his dream of humanity.
    Geordi has restored his baby.
    Beverly is an admiral.
Picard has his friends back, wherever he ends up.
And Worf... well, he's still Worf.

But I hope they come back now and then, especially for LD and PRO voice work.

    I'd rather they be done.
Let this be their Star Trek 6 swansong, not their Star Trek Generations weak cameos.

Like the TOS crew, they already hung around for one movie too many.
