It's all down to your own personal preference, of course. :)

  • Data's back!
  • Worf has mastered a sense of humor. Jadzia would be proud.
  • Epic music score.
  • The Picard line has a possible future.
  • Starships galore!
  • The enigma of Captain Shaw.
  • Captain Vadic's use of a starship as a projectile.
  • James T. Kirk's remains at Daystrom.
  • Geordi's found time to rebuild the D while raising a family.
  • Deanna and Will are true soulmates.
  • Beverly is a master of cross-training.
  • Seven and Tuvok reunion.
  • The Respectable Raffi.
These are only some of mine. What are yours?

The Borg are seemingly gone, once and for all. Their decline began with Future Janeway infecting the entire collective in Endgame and at the end, in 2401 some 22 years later, the last Queen (of the "real borg) with a barely functional cube, consuming her collective to survive, is wiped out.

My favorite takeaways:

James T. Kirk's story did not end in the disappointing Generations.

Ditto the Enterprise-D.

Picard has a son, and a new legacy.

The Borg Queen is vanquished.

Data is achieving his goal of being human.

Worf is comfortable in his own skin.

The Rikers have found restoration after the death of their son.

Geordi has a fulfilling relationship with his family, and his daughters are carrying on his legacy in Starfleet.

Seven of Nine has found her place in Starfleet as captain of the Enterprise.

That Trek is at its best when it transcends the sometimes silly nature of its genre by creating ideas that service both plot and character simultaneously. My absolute favorite moment from the entire season is the flashback structure of "No Win Scenario," a device that appears to exist to foreshadow how the Titan will survive, but then twists the knife at the very end by revealing how badly Picard unknowingly hurt both Jack and himself. That the pain is caused by a very on-brand moment for Jean-Luc makes it that much more effective. It's a level of drama that the rest of the season didn't quite match, unfortunately.

I feel like such a Debbie downer this whole season. I'm really sincerely happy for everyone else that this was such a good time. I'm just looking forward to seeing SNW.

I guess in re this thread, biggest takeaway is that they flushed Rios, Jurati, and Elnor down the toilet.

Biggest takeaway is many fans love nostalgia. Except when they don’t.
Fandom in a nutshell.

I cherry-picked three of yours as elements that I liked as well.

I was also glad to see Ro Laren, but I suppose the thing that really made me happiest: seeing the TNG crew reunited aboard the Enterprise-D.
