This is a useful thread. Thank you, OP.
He has a few quite diplomatic answers about Disco-Klingons and Alex Kurtzman's role in season 3 as well.
Those are in response to superchat questions. What did he say about these things? I watched about 30 minutes of the interview last week but don't have time to watch it all.

The Disco-Klingons come up at about 1:46:50... it's mainly the other guests offering different theories to potentially explain the difference. One of the hosts is then able to pivot to talking about Michael Dorn having to get used to the makeup and teeth at the beginning of TNG.
Kurtzman wise, he just says Kurtzman was supportive of what they wanted to do with the season.
Omg how have I missed this show??? My internet experience has always been pretty much text based, but perhaps it is time for me to expand in to audio visual experiences such as this.Gates on the Shuttlepod Show
RMB interviews Season 3 co-executive producer and co-writer of 304 and 309 Sean Tretta (this wasn't a live stream, so it flows better at around 45 minutes and you don't have awkward superchat interruptions). Tretta talks about getting started in indie horror films then joining 12 MONKEYS for his first staff writer job. In between 12 MONKEYS and PICARD season 3, he was on MAYANS MC.
The interview doesn't cover it. but his wife, Tiffany Shepis, played Dr. Ohk.
- Tretta joined PICARD after signing a deal with CBS. He wasn't a Star Trek fan, but had seen the films.
- CBS really wanted them to stay on budget after the earlier seasons went over, and they tried to limit each episode's script to 40 pages.
- Being able to recreate the Enterprise-D bridge wasn't a given with their budget constraints.
- Shaw was always fated to die to set up Seven taking command of the Titan, but they considered having Shaw be the one executed on the bridge by Vadic in 308.
- He didn't intend any political allegory to the under 25 plot point.
- One plan they considered was having the Borg Cube come out of the transwarp conduit from season 2 and blow up the Borgati ship, but they pulled back.
no.They should have had the softened for modern day viewers Borgati wiped out by this cube.
It's not the shows fault they're confused. And cleared up much confusion in the fanbase.
