Spoilers Red Alert. Images from the Finale are leaking online. Get off twitter, reddit, and youtube ASAP.

Seeing them (nothing for next week yet though) didn't diminish the scenes one bit, because we were expecting it anyway.

Time for me to dive into YouTube and Twitterville then. After all, I asked folks in 1994 for spoilers and it didn't stop me liking the scenes people "spoiled". IMHO, YMMV, of course.

I expect those spoilers to be released within 2 days.

If we go "by the book", like Lieutenant Saavik, hours would seem like days...

Does anyone find it a bit ironic that back in the 90s we were all like "Ugh! The TNG lighting is so bright and flat and I hate it! It should be darker!" and now that it's darker we're like "Give us the bright TNG lighting back!"

After season 4, I'd agree as the show lost its action/adventure flair and often turned to navel-gazing soap opera shlock, where the flat lighting is a staple of the genre. Which isn't to say there weren't bad episodes from the latter half of TNG's run, and the show invariably has to tweak its format over time to remain fresh, especially if the main characters haven't been played out but before I digress...

Seasons 1 and 2, black cardboard on panels aside, had a much more pleasant use of shadow detail due to the lighting choices. Season 3 onward is easier to film because film prefers bright light to react against), and consider they used a higher grade and speed of film as seasons 1 and 2 had issues - as with in "Contagion" with a lot of silver grain due to the type of film used as well as the too-low lighting, but I unsurprisingly digress - but at the same time, does often look flat.

Even TOS used lighting styles that allowed shadow detail and were not flat.

"Generations" used darker lighting and proper-rated film only because the sets were seven years old and knackered from being hauled around, put up, taken down, rinse and repeat, and so on. The intended shadow detail was as atmospheric as it was unintentional. And it wasn't so near pitch-black dark that OSHA or anybody would ring up and suggesting, "You wanna turn up the lights by a couple hundred foot-candles so nobody trips and sues?"

So, ultimately, in the end, which is worse - "ubiquitous flat lighting for anywhere that isn't Qo'Nos and/or Borg cube where it's all lit in appropriate hues of green and yellow?", or "3AM lighting where you get out of bed, try to feel your way to the bathroom and hope you don't trip on Mittens the kitty. Especially if said trip happens before you get there since that unintended scare could have an equally unintentionally but very messy aftermath..."? I'm thinking "the former" for the moment...

Either way, it's still and ultimately an artistic choice. Film, digital sensors, you name it, has its own form of nonreaction based on not having anything to react against: Anything involving lots of dark or black risks film crystals from reacting to the light, or the digital sensor not picking things up and showing the electromigration noise... thankfully modern camera incorporate algorithms that, along with combining sensor pixels to create larger logical pixels for capturing detail better, as well as digitally remove the patterning artifacting without the need of Photoshop and a bunch of software plug-in filters... /spockMode :p Or might that be /krytenMode?

Has anything leaked for 310? Or is it safe to resume normal operations on social media and Reddit?

Someone here says they have inside info on 310. But they’re not offering anything substantial to suggest whether it’s true or not. So it’s probably safe to go back in the water.

I have seen screencaps of episode 10. I won't share them here as they are massive spoilers and I don't want to get moderation done on my account. People have been sending me PM's and I still refused as I don't want to ruin people.

I am one of those people. And I don’t care at this point about being spoiled. All you’ve offered up is suggestions of things like a certain character fate this week which honestly could have been surmised based upon available evidence if you were paying attention. So no. I don’t believe you have any information and I won’t until you actually throw something out there that you can’t surmise from information. Like a screenshot. But I don’t think you’re going to do that so we go back to the whole “I know something you don’t know” game you’re playing.

You want me to openly post spoilers from episode 10 on this forum and get banned? That sounds what you are asking for. :cardie:
