Yep, that's why I bailed out.Unfortunately it's been locked on the Syfy site from episode 5 on, only accessible to people with cable subscriptions. But I think it's also on Peacock, and I've been thinking of signing up to that for a month or so, maybe when the season ends. Any idea how many episodes it has?
We are only up to episode 3.... it seems like a couple ay least have cheated to get on... and these crises have NOT been what there trained for. Also, the doctor for sure has barely had any sleep.Characters/story has improved a bit, slightly warming to it as they settle the characters down and introduce some of the mystery.
Still contend few of these character would be considered for a colony mission, volatile and emotional, no steady hands. They’d destroy the colony immediately

i just caught up. Unfortunately, my family bailed out...even though we saw the Outpost.
I grew up on TOS Star Trek, so budget sci-fi isn't bad for me, and really doesn't feel too cheap to me.
Kinda funny how in the last epsiode, just like the same week's Quantum Leap, they had a technobabble solution that was handwaved by a character wanting the "simple" explanation. Which is fine by me -- i am not watching this because of its scientific realism.
Also realized that they have been using Serbian directors most of the season. i wonder if we will see some planets/Serbia next season (if there is a next season). Also, Strickland's assistant just feels like a convenience -- there when they need an extra body, but otherwise invisible.
I am hoping that Lane is part of a plot to keep Trust in check, and not actually the Trust fan he seems. (Although it would make him like Reece's Outpost character -- a faith follower who gets rightfully disillusioned)
Speaking of Reece.... i wonder if they will do any Outpost Easter Eggs/jokes sometime in there. As long as it doesn't distract, i think it would be fun.
One last question - how many survivors have died since they initially woke up? It kinda feels like Andromeda, where the number feels smaller or larger depending on plot.
Like I just realized Promixa B is actually supposed to be the real planet. You know, the one we Trek nerds call Alpha Centauri. The planet that's only 4 light years away. So... where are these other solar systems they keep stopping at?
How about critiquing the plot then? Cause these are the most inept bad guys in scifi. We're enjoying the show as an oddly addictive soap opera set on a spaceship that's constantly in crisis. It's basically a good, old-fashioned disaster movie in space -- that we find ourselves actually watching in real time every Wednesday night because we want to know what happens next.
Not really worried about critiquing the science.
Oh yeah, I forgot the entire crew of Ark 1 was asleep. Why didn't she just walk onboard, take what she wanted, and then sabotage the ship? Not exactly the deepest of plots, is it?There's also the fact that if she was less openly chaotic evil, she could have just bribed or communicated her way onto another Ark and potentially have more resources and/or converts available. Especially with the crews potentially asleep. Less dramatic that way, of course.

Early on there's talk about planets in range, or more specifically, out of range.Pretty sure they've only stopped at one planet, the one where they found the Ark 3.
