Discovery final scene speculation

INT. STARFLEET ACADEMY - HOLODECK - DAY

A young, disheveled, and clearly lazy STARFLEET CADET named JOHNNY is sitting in front of a holographic computer console, working on his latest project: a holo-novel called "Discovery."

JOHNNY (mutters to himself) This is gonna be the best holo-novel ever. I'll show them all.

INT. STARFLEET ACADEMY - CLASSROOM - DAY

Johnny's classmates are listening to a lecture from their professor, PROFESSOR TALARA, about the dangers of creating flawed historical representations in holo-novels.

PROFESSOR TALARA And remember, cadets, accuracy is paramount when creating holo-novels. Inaccurate or misguided portrayals of history can lead to widespread misinformation and confusion.

INT. STARFLEET ACADEMY - HOLODECK - DAY

Johnny finishes programming his holo-novel and excitedly activates it. The holographic world of the starship Discovery appears around him. He is thrilled by the "wokeness" and "edginess" of his creation.

JOHNNY (laughs) This is gonna be so controversial! I'm a genius!

INT. STARFLEET ACADEMY - HOLODECK - LATER

Several of Johnny's classmates, including ARIA and BEN, have joined him in the holodeck to experience his creation.

ARIA (confused) Wait, this is supposed to be a federation vessel? This isn't right at all.

BEN (frowns) Yeah, Johnny, what were you thinking? This is nothing like the history we've learned in class.

INT. STARFLEET ACADEMY - COMMANDANT'S OFFICE - DAY

Johnny is brought before COMMANDANT VAREL, who is not pleased with his holo-novel.

COMMANDANT VAREL (angry) Cadet, your holo-novel is a disgrace to Starfleet and the ideals it represents. You've completely distorted our history and values.

JOHNNY (defensive) But... I was just trying to be creative and push boundaries!

COMMANDANT VAREL (sighs) Creativity is important, Cadet, but it should never come at the cost of accuracy and respect for our history.

INT. STARFLEET ACADEMY - HOLODECK - DAY

Johnny, Aria, and Ben are gathered around the computer console. Johnny hesitantly deletes his flawed holo-novel.

JOHNNY (sad) I'm sorry, guys. I didn't mean to cause trouble.

ARIA (smiles) That's okay, Johnny. We all make mistakes. The important thing is to learn from them.

BEN (nods) Yeah, let's work together on a new holo-novel. One that truly represents what Starfleet stands for.

FADE OUT.

Just a simple title card.

At least one heroic sacrifice. Tilly, Stamets, and Culber all survive to cameo on Starfleet Academy. The writers do something to Book that makes me exceedingly angry. Detmer and Owesekun are allowed to hold hands in the last five minutes of the series finale.

She will be smiling - a confident, assured smile. Everyone will be looking on in slow-motion adulation. Hands will have been held. Hugs will have been exchanged. Music will soar.

If not crying, incredibly moist and reflective eyes at the minimum.
Good. Emotions are not evil.

Burnham having declared herself head of the Federation oversight committee (that actually happened) now wields full control over Starfleet which causes her many worshippers to unleash a Jihad in her name. Sarek II her child with concubine Book will in an attempt to control all space travel become half man half tardigrade and subject the galaxy to 3000 years of despotic rule.

Well, DISCO/Zora have to be preserved somehow. Academy is 32nd Century so most/all of the crew will make it. Book will get glossed over.

I hope Saru gets his Vulcan on.

Emperor Georgiou uses the Guardian of Forever to return to the Discovery, where she and Michael Burnham have a 25-minute-long reunion scene filled with tears and speeches. Then, Michael Burnham invents a way to use the Spore Drive to jump through time. However, because the rest of the crew isn't as brilliant as Burnham, they make mistakes in the process of modifying the ship. Michael Burnham gives another lengthy speech, and the ship attempts to jump back to the 23rd century. Due to the incompetence of the crew, Discovery overshoots the mark, exiting time warp in 2161. Michael Burnham gives another lengthy, tear-filled speech that directly leads to the invention of the Federation. Emperor Georgiou founds Section 31. The rest of the crew's fates are never revealed.
