Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

I think after Ep.8, all the lines spoken in the character trailer (no, not the first cast announcement one with just voiceovers, but the one with voiceovers and glimpses of each returning character except for Data) have all shown up in the episodes released, right? Even Troi’s line about “going through that door to what’s next” came out today.

Because I don't think Dukhat was the level of darkness and evil that Troi was sensing.

The implication behind this is a fundamental, ancient, profound evil..

Not a "Space Stalin with a spoonhead" evil.
It won't really be Dukat, just his shell/body being controlled by the Pah-Wraiths.

I think so. I also think we've seen everything in the trailers and promo except that scene of them all at Frontier Day and whatever ship stuff from the trailers was from Frontier Day.

All the Enterprise-F stuff is still upcoming, yeah

Have we seen the scene of Deanna seeing an explosion or flashing lights or whatever?

and I don't think the big bad behind it all will be a non-TNG badguy.
What Borg male could it possibly be? And if it's not a Borg individual who's Vadic's boss, why should we then assume that Jack is connected to the Borg as opposed to this other male villain who has a history with Picard?

It's so nice to see Data finally achieve his lifelong dream. I've waited since I was a little boy to see this.

Had to suffer through two deaths and two decades of nothing to get here, but we made it!
Great to see him fully integrated with emotions. With the emotion chip it never felt natural, he would sort of bounce back and forth between flat and lively. And he never quite felt like himself when he was emoting.
In this episode he seemed at ease, smooth and unified. And even when he was acting emotional/human, it still felt exactly like Data. So satisfying to see him and Geordi together again like this.
Thank god for this season. Even if the finale totally fizzles, I've got what I needed most.

So this isn't a spoiler, I actually don't know this. Just theorizing.

What if Locutus was actually a sentient entity before it took over Picard's body in "The Best of Both Worlds"

Perhaps an ancient and dying voice that needs something in Picard and Jack to survive.

So Picard was like a...Borg Trill Vessel?

I mean...I guess yeah. It would make sense with the idea of the Queen being something ancient that just kept getting bounced from body to body, across timelines and dimensions, etc.

Its a viable theory I think.
