Spoilers Star Trek: Titan series (now with Picard S3 spoilers)

It'll be interesting to see if Shaw makes through the next three weeks. He's been through the grinder at least twice now. This time he looks like they did a number on him good.

He'll be fine. His injuries seem healed by Episode 8 based on the photos.

They still have to payoff his arc with the Borg, and him also finally calling Hansen as 'Seven'

Why are people so obsessed with making a Seven of Nine Trek series?

I don't think the majority want a Seven show specifically, they just wanted more 25th century Trek.

I'm in agreement that a 'Captain Seven' show is not that appealing. It would require too much homework to draw in new viewers, since most of her character development spans 10 seasons behind her.

While Jeri is charismatic AF, Seven wouldn't be as engaging as a series lead character.

I don't disagree, but am having trouble seeing what would distinguish her character from others at this point--except for prosthetics, she's pretty much Anika, with no Borg ballast, and not the sex bomb she once was. It would take work. I'd rather have Georgiou and Section 31...

I don’t know Seven is pretty popular on Trek Twitter, I think she appeals to a large portion of the fandom because she’s one of the few characters who has to struggle and overcome throughout Voyager and Picard. She deals with childhood trauma, persecution, expressing herself with others, and refreshingly hates having to deal with Starfleet bullshit when she believes it can be done better. But she helps save the galaxy, timeline and is now a Commander on a starship. A lot of the younger and more importantly non cishet male fans adore her and see her as an aspirational character.

After this Starfleet Academy announcement I kind of want them to get a Section 31 series out of their system sooner rather than later. Because it's going to happen someday either way, and it might as well happen immediately after Picard's thorough exploration of what an absolute damn mess they've caused. Again.

With the S31s in DSC, ENT, kelvin (whatever the f that was), DS9, and now PIC, I totally agree. Let's just do this and blast the whole damn organization out of an airlock.

Get Yeoh, get some legacy characters, get some A-listers. Make it a big event and then put it out of its misery.

No one is forcing you to watch anything.

So someone isn’t interested in a series starring Seven or Georgiou, and you suggest to that person that they shouldn’t watch Star Trek at all? That’s a pretty condescending attitude.

AFAIK from listening to people, Seven is the only post-TNG character that has filtered out into the general non-Trekkie public consciousness.

Still doesn’t mean that they should base an entire show around her.

How did you get that from what I wrote? I just told someone they didn’t have to watch a show they’re already complaining about despite it not existing yet. It’s a show not a cult.
