    Adam Scott's Unnamed Defiant Helmsman

Seriously, it would be a great deep cut and makes sense for the show:
    • This Helmsman served on the Defiant (and presumably DS9) in 2373.
    • We know Mariner was on DS9 sometime between 2372 and 2375. It's conceivable Mariner knows this guy.
    • They like to cast comedians/comedic actors for guest roles.
    • It would be a fun expansion for the canon, detailing a nameless character that we would otherwise forget if the actor hadn't gone on to do bigger things.

    This would be terrific.

Honestly, I'm ready to see a younger Liam Shaw.

The Red Angel. Seriously, it was so goofy, there's gotta be SOMETHING they can do with it.

I choose to interpret this comment as proposing that Adam Scott's guy is a younger Liam Shaw, and I choose to agree with that proposal.

Shaw was an engineer, not a helmsman.

Besides, who else but Todd Stashwick himself could play him? ;)

    True dat.

Even Geordi was a helmsman before becoming an engineer...

They should have a Gargoyles reference in LD, considering a number of Trek actors have worked on that show.

There have been references to Cardassian gargoyles on bedposts in DS9 and Akaali gargoyles have been seen in a shop seen in ENT, so its completely feasible.

Or even better, have Keith David guest star.

I want to see some kind of reference to Sybok, maybe visit the planet of galactic peace. Basically, Star Trek V references would be fun for me.

What if Mariner was on the Defiant in that mission? They've put a lot of hints that she was a kid on board the Enterprise D (but still haven't flat out stated it), and her ending up on the Defiant and Enterprise E at their worst times would be apt for Mariner.

I liked Lt Neeley's brief appearance in Rocks and Shoals (DS9) and wished they'd used her as a recurring character. Seeing her on LDS world be cool.

T'Pol, I believe Mike said he's a fan of hers. I know Jolene seems to have stepped from the industry. But it would be cool to see T'Pol and T' Lynn interact
