Which real or imagined movie would be ideal to team up Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise?

I think Eastwood was at one stage trying to cast Jack in Space Cowboys but it didn’t work out. Not sure which role he was up for and who it went to instead.

As to Ford and Cruise, well, my first thought is that it’d have to be an action movie. But since you mentioned Nicholson, I wonder what Ford would’ve been like as Col. Jessop in A Few Good Men?

Also, in the parallel universe where Cruise played Tony Stark, maybe Ford could’ve been Obidiah Staine?

I mean Ford seems to be much more willing to join a movie and not be the lead actor... now would he do it for a Tom Cruise movie? I dunno.

They both have a love of aircrafts and flying so perhaps a period piece involving that in WWII could work. I thought about maybe something involving Chuck Yeager's life, but some of the racist stuff done by him came out which probably taints any potential projects there.

Jack Ryan: Armageddon-Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) is president now, trying to manage a crisis. In a surprise attack while overseas, he falls under the protection of Agent Jason Richter (Cruise) who must now navigate the East Europeans underworld in order to get out of the country and stay one step ahead of assassins and political power brokers who may not be as trustworthy as they seem.

Wow. You know, that would have WORKED. It might have even worked better in some ways because Ford wouldn't have had that immediate "it's Jack, so you know deep down he's kind of nuts" thing going early in the film.

I guess with a little retooling, you could’ve had Ford in the Connery role and Cruise in the Cage one in The Rock. Admittedly, Harrison was only 21 when Alcatraz closed, so it might be a bit of a stretch, but it’s not like the rest of that movie was grounded in reality.

How about Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford in Road to Perdition instead of Tom Hanks and Paul Newman?

This would've been one expensive movie in the 90s:

How about a 1990s Uncharted with Tom Cruise as Drake and Harrison Ford as Sully?

There's a car movie joke here somewhere, but I'm to tired to figure it out. Ford vs. something. Chevy Cruise?
