I mean, Vonda McIntyre realized that was an issue back in 1982 and added a line to the TWOK novelization about the radiation burning out the robot Scotty tried to send in to repair the damage. Even in the film itself, it's implied Spock's super-human endurance is the only reason he was able to last long enough without losing consciousness to perform the repair, considering his remark to McCoy about not being human and Scotty passing out even in full radiation-gear after, apparently, trying to do it himself and not even getting close.
His ancestors moved to the UK during WW2 but didn't move back to France until the late 23rd Century from what I gathered. Which is why Picard still has a British accent, they haven't lived there long enough for it to vanish.
Picard was still born in La Barre. They didn't retcon that in Season 2.
Picard would've easily forgiven Beverly if she moved in with Jack at 6 years old, certainly moreso than at 20+ years old, in fact he'd probably welcome the company in light of his embarassing failure and resignation from Starfleet in the aftermath of the Mars attack. We know Jack at some point was literally across the channel being educated in England near enough to France.

Right? I'd have loved to see him say "I've been retired for the past 20 years making wine with my Romulan girlfriend. He's become an intergalactic felon with you. Who's the bad influence?"
Probably not during TNG proper, but during the movie era. They were on the E for a year longer than they were on the D, and we only see about 8 hours of their lives in four 2 hour blocks.
Well the subtitles gave away her gunner crew as 'changeling 1' 'changeling 2' etc. Changelings think of themselves as gods, and they've already come a long way down as it is if they're doing menial starship work instead of having the Jem Hadar or Vorta do it. Who could Vadic be that these extremist changelings are willing to take orders from a solid?
I think his disdain for the English accent implies that he thinks he doesn't have one!
Why would a Changling be after Jack Crusher, the son of Jean-Luc Picard, who may been only marginally involved in the Dominion War at best? It would make more sense if she went after Jake Sisko, the son of Benjamin Sisko, who really brought their actual defeat.
When it comes to the changelings I wonder if Las is the leader of this group of changelings who hates the solids and the Federation and they're behind the attack at the Starfleet building and the stolen technology from the Daystrom institute Vadic is using to attack the Titan and the other plots for the rest of season 3.Las wanted to look for the missing 100 changelings in a season 6 ds9 episode I wonder if that's who the changlings are as a break away group in season 3.
Maybe she doesn't know she's commanding Changelings? She might just be a rube who thinks she's in charge. Maybe she'll have to switch sides later.

Riker: Captain Riker to security, Lock down all transporters and shuttle bays and any other possible methods a changeling can use to escape the Titan.
Picard: We’ve secured the safety of everyone on this ship from Vadic for the time being. Let’s go hunt some goo!

Presumably, being Changelings is why Riker called out there being something odd about the phasered ashes on the Eleos.
Thought the episode overall was average but love the idea of changelings as bad guys. Actual bad guys with a real reason to do what they are doing.
Beverlys reasons to "protect" Jack are bullshit because she then puts him in loads of danger but I do like Jack.

That only stops her from destroying them instantly. Her stated intent is to pick them apart during which there will be a point where she can rescue the changeling.
