I completely agree. The parasites would have been...interesting...but the changelings are much more understandable. I do wonder why they are after Jack so much, since as you said Picard wasn't really involved with the Dominion war in any significant capacity so there isn't such a personal vengeance angle there. Unless he has somehow been replaced by a changeling and that is who they are after. The "We want him, he is a criminal" actually being cover for retrieving an agent is plausible to me.
Honestly, I'm just enjoying the ride for now. I can critique it later on second viewings, unless something is parfticularly egregious.
Well, he did show up to Riker's wedding, though since that's in a deleted scene of Nemesis, maybe they'll argue that never really happened.
I wouldn't be shocked if the Section 31 attempt to commit genocide by destroying the Great Link itself helped lead to the Founder extremists plotting reprisals against the Federation. Yes, Odo returned to the Link to cure it of the pathogen but Section 31 still tried to kill every changeling in the Dominion with a form of germ warfare. DS9 showed us that Founders could be pretty vindictive against those who attempted to directly harm their homeworld or the Great Link itself.
We can see him at the table in uniform. Maybe he was allowed to visit for the wedding and put on a uniform because he felt like it. Do the Travelers have to keep a schedule?
Plus NEM was before Jack would have been born, so Wesley's still been gone for the entirety of the previous 22 years. She's still "lost" Wesley for almost the entirety of the post-2370 period.
This is a great example of an overwritten line from this episode.
There's a lot to like this week, but sadly, most of it's not in the script.
I could probably do a better job in After Effects (if they gave me the original footage). I'v some experience with this. Neither Picard nor Riker needed a lot of de-aging in this scene since they were no longer young men in the 2380ies.
Worf & Raffi playing "good cop bad cop" with the perp was awesomeness.

The changeling was near his regeneration time while running most likely and couldn't change.
I would add that the way Worf identifies himself shows that he has embraced both his Klingon and human heritage. Son of Mogh, House of Martok is his Klingon heritage. Son of Sergei, House of Roshenko, is his human heritage. Very nice detail IMO.

I will say that the Picard/Riker conflict feels forced.
Thomas Dekker looks great as a heroin addict. It may be the makeup, but he doesn't look he's in his late 30s.
Maybe hey think Lore could get those tentacle robots to come back and wipe out the Federation after all?

Yeah, it was great. And it makes sense since there sensors were down due to the nebula.
I thought so, too. I got (and appreciated) where they were trying to go with it, vis-a-vis the fatherhood perspective-change story angle, but the execution was clunky and ham-fisted, IMO.
