Again, thought it was fine. I enjoyed it more than last week. Seven and Jack being chaotic in vital cause was fun; very nice chemistry between the actors. Ensign LaForge is a good egg. Worf and Raffi's good cop/bad cop routine would have worked better for me if they'd been able to resist throwing in the quips wrt Worf's new philosophy. Really, most of the jokes they gave Worf and Raffi this week didn't land for me - there was just something self-conscious in the writing. But it's good to see Worf again and I like this progression for him. Also, the listing of his family and great deeds was a really cool moment. The confrontation between Picard and Beverly was well-acted, but I just couldn't really buy into it; I think it's because it's a scene of high emotional stakes, but so many of Beverly's concerns are things we're being told about after the fact rather than anything we saw during the TNG run or movies that I just don't have much investment, more "Well, if they were going to go this direction, it could have been worse." The conflict between Riker and Picard, though, that had me invested - those parting words were harsh. I'm more curious about how those two will repair their relationship (or if they will) than I am in where Picard and Beverly go from here.
