Spoilers Bad Batch Season 2 - This Fall

Not a bad conclusion to the 2-parter, with an effective guest star turn by Yuri Lowenthal as the ship thief who turns out to be a sympathetic Oliver Twist type needing liberation from his oppressor.

I'm really annoyed with how Disney+ handles the end credits. It's bad enough that they don't let you disable the credit-shrinking, or skip it altogether like Netflix and HBO Max have the decency to do. But Disney+ seems to make a point of shrinking the credits exactly when the guest star credit list comes on, so that it's almost impossible to pause the playback in time to read the guest credits. It's like they're deliberately, spitefully making it as hard as possible to read the cast list.

Did they really just coordinate *two* giant monster fights to go out on the same day!?
OK, that was a dark episode in more ways than one. Straight up 'Alien' horror vibes with the deserted ship and the eyeless larval form.
Scorch is back again, and now he's participating in mass abductions! Yay! Seriously though, I really hope the rest of Delta Squad actually shows up at some point. Feels weird to keep on teasing them at this point.
I guess we have our replacement for Rampart as the new big bad in the form of Dr. Creepy Robot Hand. No doubt he'll be leading the renewed hunt for the Batch and will likely recruit Crosshair before long.
Lama Su does realise they're just going to kill him anyway, right? I mean Mt Tantiss isn't the kind of place they just let people live to tell about, yes?

Nice. Wonder if we will learn what the Kaminoians were doing on the side, without the Republic knowing it (as indicated by that side conversation just before Kamino cities were destroyed).

Yeah. I'd be amazed if they ware going to do another gig for Cid now.

I think somethings going on with Cid

Probably so. After all, the team was warned a few episodes ago that she's not to be trusted.

Not a fan of the last two weeks' episodes, the occasional good graphical sequence notwithstanding. Hope things pick up.

Still facepalming over the kids working for soup. Kid, how about taking the perfectly good spaceship you just stole to some place where they'll give you real money for it. Or, you know, just get the hell out of there with it. :brickwall:

Judging by what was left behind in that abandoned facility last season, I'd guess that they were cloning themselves (assuming that's not what they always do anyway.)
There's a chance that the Empire didn't destroy the Kaminoans at all--just the surface cities--and there's a whole hidden civilization hidden deep beneath the ocean floor. Indeed that would be the *real* Kaminoan civilization and everything up on the surface was just for show and off-world trade.

Indeed this episode seems to suggest that Nala Se knows full well what Paplatine is really after: effective immortality through cloning and the transfer of consciousness. It's possible the Kaminoans had the secret all along and that's exactly why he still needs them.

They're kids. How smart do you expect them to be? :vulcan:

Smart enough to be able to operate a hyperdrive, find the nearest used ship dealing willing to actually pay a defenceless lone teenager for his stolen custom Republic military attack shuttle (and not just shiv him, leaving his remains for the scrapyard hounds to chew on), have a firm enough grasp of haggling in a non-soup based economy to get a fair price, and then have the first sodding idea where he can go from there in a wide open galaxy when this is likely the first time he's ever been off his homeworld that's so remote and dilapidated it makes a junk moon look like a cosmopolitan holiday destination?
That's just a guess though. ;)

Right...I forgot kids can just do that now!

Dave hasn’t written any bad batch episodes I think. He’s just a producer because he’s the head of animation

edit: he co-wrote wrote S1E1

Now that's more like it.

Mount Tantiss, Lama Su and finally following up on an unresolved plot point left untouched for almost 13 years… :techman:

Well, it was short.

I felt the last scene was a little ... weird, I guess? The whole conversation was awkwardly scripted. It felt really unnatural.

When I first started the episode, I thought they may have been brining back the Rakghoul virus from KOTOR based off the name of the episode and the horror vibe. But I quickly dropped that thought once it was revealed it was connected to the Imperial cloning project.
