Even if she didn’t tell him, it wouldn’t be that hard for him to have his DNA tested to find out. Picard’s DNA profile is in the Starfleet database and there are probably distant cousins wandering about with traces of Picard DNA that would have tipped him off. The adult Jack Crusher chose for himself not to undergo DNA testing or search for his father, for whatever reason.
What app do you/they use for doing screencaps? They're always perfect.
I've seen a few people say Sneed's ears look small, but they seem fine to me with this side by side. Now they are a bit more 'human' looking that previous ferengi, but they're not any smaller.

Brunt's are smaller and closer to Sneed's in size.
Exactly: just like with in humans, their ears come in different sizes.

Modern make up is a lot better at getting that "flesh" tone & texture right.
Only thing bothering me a bit is the nose, that one looks a bit "fake" to me - same as the DIS season 1 Klingon make-ups. Guess "real" nature usually isn't that sharp or edged.
Overall though - great job. Looks like a faithful update of the original design. "Feels" right.
I think Jack is more involved in bringing his father into this situation than he's letting on.

I can say with 100% certainty that people at my school in Liverpool got laid into for less and someone with junior in their name would definitely have taken a rinsing by the other kids
I give it a 7, it was pretty decent. My nit-picks were that Amanda Plummer is just too over the top, we need to understand her motivation (or her character will get wearing). I also feel tired at the prospect of the Mutara nebula revenge stuff that seems to be in next weeks episode - though I hope at least they find a new twist on it. Also, I still feel that this show misses a bit of Roddenberry utopianism, but I guess everyones forgotten that people should behave 'more evolved' these days.
Still, by far and away the best two Nu-Trek episodes for me. Even the VFX are getting better. I remember when they released DSC, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Low poly ships shot with a ton of haze, flares and blu-filter to hide the fact. The Titan-A seems to be more detailed, though I think a lot of that is texturing. I wish they could render out shots as good as in the 2009 movie, where the ships seemed genuinely large and impressive.

there was always a sense that Federation society was trying to live the higher ideals even if they never quite achieved it. Picard might have been a more ardent promotor of said ideals, than most, but he believed in them. Even as messed up as they are, the crew of the Cerritos still largely holds true to those ideals later.
The future of Picard is a bleak fucked up dystopia where you are constantly reminded that the universe is under never ending threat, you can't trust anyone, todays children are tomorrows murder victims, and no one is protecting or guarding anything. No one has a happy ending, even an agreeably calm one. The future of Picard sucks. They don't show a single enjoyable facet. I don't know why trillions of people aren't just phasering their brains out. Clearly it's not going to get better, and whatever tools that had to keep the UFP dream in play (it was never utopia but it had aspirations), it's all over now.
We only see shit like that outside of the Federation in Picard.
Insert *what an odd thing to say* meme here, because I sure as fuck don't see Picard this way. We have people struggling with problems but dystopian? Yeah, no.
And a happy ending? That's fairy tale shit. I'm told repeatedly that Star Trek is supposed to be more adult, more mature, and able to handle the serious topics of life. Happy endings are not the serious topics of life.
Do people shout a lot when you're out together?
It's in the Federation. The Fed let Riker and Troi's son die rather than reactivate a synth, we're all but told that the Federation wasn't a safe place for Crusher and her son to be a family with Picard on Earth, Seven is immediately paired with Shaw who still has Borg issues rather than letting him truly heal from them *before* assigning him with an ex-Borg, and Raffi is given the one job in the Federation that immediately opens her to underworld elements giving her constant opportunities to relapse into whatever she was addicted to before. That's not even getting into what everyone has to look forward to come the future shown in Discovery.
