Spoilers Fantastic Beasts 3 has been officially greenlit, and will be set in Rio de Janeiro

Make a show about the founding years of Hogwarts. Season 1 is all four house founders coming together, season 1 ends with Hogwarts being established.
Season 2 several years later.
Season 3 several decades later.
Season 4 several centuries later.
Season 5 with Dumbledore as a professor there, no forshadowing of anything, events from Fantastic Beasts are only vaguely mentioned. End the final episode with Dumbledore sitting in his office, hearing the door open. We see someone walking in, without seeing a face. Just the idea that it's a child. Final line...
"Ah, Tom.... so glad you've arrived at Hogwarts." Roll end credits.

Honestly, Dumbledore is getting tiring at this point. Yes, he's a major character, but it seems like they're trying to put him everywhere these days. Newt had his own series with a great first movie, then they had to go and have Dumbledore hijack it. Plus, if they have to eventually create a TV show, setting it far away from the original timeline that reminds everyone about Rowling's behavior would be better. And being that it's supposed to be a 'wizarding world', it's quaint how little of the rest of the world we see even though the other schools were often referenced in Order of the Phoenix. I feel like we need to see more of those.

As long as JK Rowling is alive, I'm no longer going to contribute financially to any Harry Potter works, as she still gets royalties from everything.
Can't argue with that...

... but I can argue with this. A large part of Hogwarts' whole appear is that it's an ancient castle filled with centuries' worth of secrets. To see it being built would just miss the point entirely - and then there's the Slytherin of it all:

Still the best Harry Potter prequel put to film.

Funny how you use the term "quaint," which has positive connotations, in what otherwise reads as a criticism, but I don't disagree. I wouldn't be so rash as to say that no other country or school could be the setting of a genuinely successful new Wizarding World story, but I think putting Hogwarts front and center again is definitely the safest bet, especially think in terms of a major movie investment.

Oh, well I've seen it in both positive and negative connotations, depending on the context. Though perhaps not the best word to use now that I think about it.

In terms of investment, yeah, definitely. and it's the likeliest reason for them not venturing beyond. Personally though, I feel there's so much to explore beyond Hogwarts, so I can't help but feel disappointed in that respect. They have a chance to build on something.

One of the things I liked about Crimes of Grindelwald was that it finally took us outside of England. For quite a while now I've been curious to see more of the Wizarding World outside of England.

Yeah, me too! I didn't think I was the only one. Was that the 3rd movie? I don't remember much of the second since it was such a jumbled mess. Either way, I really wish they'd develop more of the world outside England.

It was the second, I still haven't seen the 3rd. Crimes of Grindelwald took us to New York where we saw MACUSA, and according to the synopsis it also had stuff in Paris, and French Ministry of Magic, but I don't remember that.
I believe Secrets of Dumbledore was also set at least partly in Brazil, but I like said before, I still haven't seen it, so I don't know how much it develops it.

I think I vaguely remember now that you mention it, but I don't remember the French stuff either. It must have been very brief. These movies just try to do too much and it gets messy. It would be more impactful if they didn't try to do so much and give some of these locations more focus.
