next Spike "Trials & Tribblations" airdate??

I have been trying unsuccessfully for years to get my kids interested in Star Trek - they like sci-fi, but view Trek as just "that show for nerds".

But while she was at a recent sleepover, my youngest daughter (8yers) caught the remastered episode of TOS' "The Trouble With Tribbles" and *loved* it, and now has been me to find a copy on DVD of that she can watch! And after I told her about the DS9 follow-up, she wants to see that as well. But I don't have the DVD's of either series (and are the remastered TOS DVD's even out now - and if so, only on HD-DVD, right?) so I was wondering if anyone here might know the next time Spike will re-air "Trials & Tribblations"...

And perhaps next time CBS may air the remastered TOS "Trouble With Tribbles" as well?

Any help in converting the next generation (no pun) of Trekkies would be greatly appreciated.

(I will Nexflix the DS9 episode if I can, but I won't be able to reinstate my Netflix account until next month,)

I am *SO* stoked a child of mine is finally interested in Trek - and help here would be greatly appreciated!

There's always *other* methods of obtaining these episodes - legally - iTunes might have them, for example right?

But I don't have a DVD burner from my PC anyway, and I'd have burn a copy to give to my kids...

Netflix has the series. I could get a copy next month. I just wish it's would be on Spike sooner...I want to get here while she's interested.

Netflix has the series. I could get a copy next month. I just wish it's would be on Spike sooner...I want to get here while she's interested.

I have a feeling the chances of it ever being on Spike again are slim.

Really? Damn. I though they just cut back the showings and put them on VERY late at night.

Well, on the upside, I will be able to order it from Netflix next month (possibly even my local video store...thay cab get it from another store)

I'd like it if she could watch in *now*, while her interest is piqued, but I guess it can wait...)

Finding the remastered TOS episode is gonna be the major chore.*

*(She may not care about the FX, she's only 8...but my oldest daughter is a big fan of the Sarah Connor Chronicles - and she and my son *laughed* at the FX when we watched T2 last night! My oldest , she was like "Oh God dad, that time travel effect is *so* cheesey!!!" - but she liked the film anyway, but the *slightly* dated FX distracted her a bit. Kids these days!!!)

But I can't even find either of these episodes (of Trek) on ittorrentay! And I don't have any friends with copies I could borrow - which would just be great. I suppose I'll have to be patient 'till next month - it's just like I said - she's interested *now* and I'd like to strike while the iron's hot.

(I still can't afford to re-activate my Netflix this month - MONEY IS *VERY* TIGHT FOR ME NOW...though I may still try - so I can order to DVD or the season with the episode. But the Remastered TOS original is still hard to find.....even in...ahem...unconventional places...*cough*...nor do I have a friend with copies of either...*cough*...)

You can always watch the unremastered version of "The Trouble with Tribbles" on CBS's website. The entire series is online there.

"Trials and Tribbleations" won't air for months (if at all).

I thought Spike still showed DS9 - just late at night and not as often?

I just don't wan re-instate my Netflix just now just to snag one damn DVD....

And as for the unremastered version - they are kinda spoiled on modern FX - and even they are critical of cheaper ones. My youngest won't care - but I'm trying to hook my other two in as well.

The Trouble with Tribbles insn't really an FX-heavy episode, though. It might not matter much.

As for Spike, they're currently in mid-Season 7. So you've got about 4 and a half seasons to go until they reach T&T.
