Ready Room with Wil Wheaton Prodigy Edition

For some reason, the animated shows just get episodes for the premiere and finale and sometimes maybe mid-season.

I've assumed there's a higher budget for the live action shows to fund this extra content.

Maybe they're using some of the Prodigy promotional budget towards other content, like the Instagram Mission Logs as well as the weekly "Set a Course" and "The Science Of" videos. It does appeared that the weekly videos would have integrated well into the breaks if there were more "The Ready Room" commissioned for Prodigy.

I wonder if there will be a Picard season 3 tease at the end since it’s the next show
Perhaps they will show that Romulus has not been destroyed in the early 25th century, with a toon Picard onboard Seven of Nine’s Enterprise with Dal as first officer? That would be tease enough… for a spin-off though. I wonder if we will see a live action Dal in Picard season 3? A live action clip of Dal would be cool if so. If we do not get this in Picard season 3 then I will start the petition for Dal to be in the spin-off, I am not sure what @Danja would think about this campaign but hopefully she would support it, though she does have her own ideas about Seven’s crew. Danja wants Seven’s number one to be Raffi, so this could be a potential conflict of interest and a point of conflict between me and Danja. Bret Gray should start practicing his handstands and get used to wearing prosthetics and Avatar movie like makeup… just in case… :D

I'm hoping they DON'T do anything with Seven (Because they have plans for her? Like, say ... A spinoff?)

I'm waiting to see how Lower Decks is going to crossover onto SNW this coming season.

Grrr can’t watch this until I have seen the finale just in case it has spoilers. One more day to go! I feel like I am in solitary confinement. :klingon:

Quote from Mulgrew concerning S2 (around 22:45): "you will be on the edge of your seat for every single character" (talking about tension).

Also, the vessel they will be on (Janeway and the 5) is not a Protostar-class, but something much bigger. And they evidently tease this to get us to speculate.

I'm guessing there will be tension between the crew and Janeway, because one she'll be in charge, and two will be a bit more hardened than the hologram.

Certainly, but I got the impression that she means narrative tension (or tension in the viewer) more than tensions between the characters.

It's to be expected that Dal and a "warrant officer in training" role don't necessarily go well together, as he is not really a specialist in anything particular (chaotic starship manoevring, maybe) and he won't be the leader here (not from the get go, at least). However, I think she is implying that many characters will be put at risk in the story next season. They do all seem to have risky assignments, especially what Janeway will be trying.

Does Janeway REALLY want to go back to Voyager?

She spent SEVEN YEARS on the thing!
She mentioned it being "Much Bigger", so I don't think the Intrepid class would count, that's too small in comparison to what StarFleet has at their disposal.

I'm just hoping it's one of the larger ships that hasn't been a "Main Hero Ship" yet, one fit for a Legendary Admiral like Janeway.

It wouldn't be another Intrepid, I suppose. Another class to make it distinct (and probably equipped with some ultrafast drive, or otherwise it right away would seem obsolete, or at least less cutting edge, compared to the Dauntless and Protostar classes.
