Major awards shows are, in fact, decided by peers in the entertainment industry.
Yes, people appointed/selected to do so. Not actors voting for actors. Which is what I meant.

Vader is probably busy on Mustafar going over reports to see if he is needed in the ongoing investigation of a Jedi going by the name Kanan Jarrus and his assumed apprentice going by the name Jabba.

Yeah, but none of those were because of him. A majority of them are from the story group (in the case of props) or the other writers that know their lore.If you google Andor easter eggs you'll see there have been plenty of articles talking about the show's so-called easter eggs.
At this point the Rebellion isn't even a unified Rebellion yet, it's just a bunch losely aligned cells giving the Empire the occasional papercut, the characters we're following aren't even close to being a threat that would come to Vader's attention. This story is literally about key figures in the Rebellion that toppled the Empire. I think the maniacal killers running said Empire do naturally fit in there well enough. This isn't a tale about organized crime or a missing ship or a family torn apart by a vengeful droid. The closer we get toward the end of the story, the more nimble the writers will have to be not to include Vader and/or other familiar characters. As I said, I'm not opposed to that either. But some of the "rancorous" stuff said on here is rather daft. All just depends on what approach they'll take next season and we'll all just have to wait and see to find that out.
Antony Starr as Homelander from the "Boys." But Skarsgaard does deserve a nomination.![]()
They could always go with Best Actor for Starr and Best Supporting Actor for Skarsgaard.Agreed.
Not in terms of being a mind blowing twist, just in terms of it being a powerful, memorable moment.Really?I don't see how. I didn't find it that mind blowing nor at the same level of Luke Skywalker discovering the true identity of his father.
What about the SAGs?Yes, people appointed/selected to do so. Not actors voting for actors. Which is what I meant.
That’s what next season if for. Also, you don’t wait for it to become an existential threat before you start paying attention to it. Before the damage it does warrants direct involvement and action. At this point the Rebellion isn't even a unified Rebellion yet, it's just a bunch losely aligned cells giving the Empire the occasional papercut, the characters we're following aren't even close to being a threat that would come to Vader's attention.

He personally didn't put any easter eggs in the show. He didn't even know some of the props in Luthern's shop were easter eggs.

Gilroy had no intention of planting easter eggs in the story, he wanted a good story first. Stuff like the Naboo helmet and such are little nods to the existing world without drawing undue attention. Blaster props and computer consoles patterned after the OT can also be considered easter eggs, it's meant to demonstrate it's the same world but not having the same design wouldn't hurt the show.
Saw Garrera played an important part in the early rebellion before breaking away, therefore he would not be considered a cameo or easter egg but an important part of the ongoing story. His presence fits the story (and his acting is freaking insane). Same for Mon Mothma.
There was plenty of room for creative interpretation, being that the sets in question had little resembling standard imperial aesthetic. If the action was showing the interior of imperial cruisers then yes, I'd expect all the interiors to closely match the OT aesthetic.Agree with all of this, but having the designs match the established aesthetic (like computer panels) is in no way an "easter egg", that's just care and consistency.

General rule of thumb: if's it's Corellian Corvettes & A-Wings, it's most likely one of Bail's cells (Alderaan mysteriously had an unfortunate string of "thefts" of those ships while running mercy missions.) The Nebulon B Frigates seem to have mostly come from Dodonna's group, though we still don't quite know the backstory there. The Mon Cala ships are of course brought it by Akbar's cell.Other groups in the region are using handfuls of Corellian Corvettes (CR90s mostly) and R-22 A-wings to pester the Empire. These may have been paid for by Luthan's heist, or Mon Mothma's funds, or perhaps that was all on Bail Organa. Within a few years, a few groups will have larger capital ships like Nebulon-B frigates, and Mon Calamari cruisers. That will be when Mon Mothma's fall for a general rebellion will form the Alliance to Restore the Republic. That I expect to see in Season Two of Andor. Its blatantly too important to skip given the subject matter of the show.
It's a big galaxy and a big Empire with a big-big bureaucracy and lots and lots of HUGE egos. It's not surprising the scale and scope of the rebellion went vastly underestimated (and likely under-reported) for almost two decades. And Enfys Nest and her Cloud Riders began raiding Imperial coaxium shipments as early as 10 BBY and used the money from those raids and capers to fund the nascent stages of a Rebel uprising against Imperial rule. Well before the Aldhani attack there must have been officers in the ISB who suspected something bigger was brewing and growing but just didn't put two and two together for another five years.
I doubt the rebellion has anything to do with The Path given the events of Kenobi. Most likely it's it's own separate thing. If there's any connection to known characters (not counting Vos) the more likely candidate would either be Ahsoka running it separate from her role as Fulcrum, and/or Cere & Cal.In addition to Enfys Nest, there was also The Path that was disrupted by Darth Vader and the Inquisitors during the hunt for Kenobi. But an untold number Jedi got out and the Path may also start its own Rebel cell in the aftermath. I suspect Bail Organa will be involved with that one.
