Now watching #10 Wake Forest get taken to the woodshed by Louisville.
Wake has turned the ball over 5 times in the 3rd quarter.
Gonna be interesting to see how the playoff committee ranks things Tuesday. People are saying UGA at 1 and UT at 2 but I don't think we'll get ranked that high. Regardless, next Saturday is shaping up to be an epic regular season game. My Vols travel to Athens to face Georgia and I think we will be heavy underdogs. A lot has been made about the home field advantage that we've had at Neyland and while I think it's true that we have a great home field advantage (our fanbase has been starved for something to cheer about and Neyland is built upwards so every seat is close to the field and the stadium is steep making an already loud environment louder) UGA's home field is kind of average for an SEC stadium. UGA fans will be amped and I expect a great environment but their stadium is more open and doesn't trap sound the same way so it's more that we will be missing what our own fans bring against opponents than Athens being an overwhelming environment to play in.
We got Cedric Tillman who had been the top returning WR in CFB prior to getting injured back this evening but Hooker was hellbound and determined to force feed him the ball and while a 44-6 win doesn't look like a sluggish offense, it was a little sluggish because Hooker was too locked in on wanting to get Tillman back in the mix of things. Hyatt could've put up even more TDs if everyone (fans and teammates included) hadn't wanted to see Tillman so bad that we tried to force it instead of taking open looks. We can't afford for Hooker to do that against UGA, and to his credit, I don't think that he will but it's one of those things that concerns me.
I am stoked for this game. I've said it before but we're playing with house money. All the pressure is on UGA. We exceeded this season's expectations a few games ago and shattered them when we beat BAMA. I hope the team comes out loose and sets Athens on fire. I will be disappointed if we lose but we are so far away from where we're supposed to be right now that even a loss isn't anything to get too mad about as long as it's a 'good' loss. Situations like this, where you have a chance to do something amazing and yet don't have much pressure on you, just don't come along too often and I hope we can make the best of it.
UGA handing Tennessee their asses. Only 27-6 right now, but I wonder how this TENN team got to 8-0.
Georgia D has been pretty damn good today.I drifted away when it was 21-3. Maybe Georgia is just that good?
And now ND beating #4 Clemson 35-7 with 4:16 left.
Looks like Tennessee and Clemson have let Alabama right back into the playoff picture.

I'm not even sure which of the 3 ranking lists espn.com has is the official one. I'm guessing "College Football Playoff Rankings" over the "AP Top 25" or the "AFCA Coaches Poll".Akron, UT-Martin, Ball State, and Kentucky. Then two one-score games against a down Alabama team and a down Florida team. The committee was sleepwalking putting them at #1.
Nope!
That LSU game was amazing.
