Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

From Ben Robinson:

All the existing stock for ships and figurines has been freed from the warehouse and will make its way to stores between now and the end of the year. A little bit was still in China and will take longer. There is a little stuff that had never been released. Not sure where or when it will appear.

Someone I can’t name yet is taking the license to make new Star Trek ships. I am optimistic about ships from other shows but this is further behind. It may be that they turn up with more than one company. New stuff is likely to be the best part of a year away and (I think) principally online, at least at first. I imagine it will be available internationally but I couldn’t say for sure.

That's cool. I'm glad I only overpaid for one ship (whoops).

I wonder who took the Trek license, from the bankruptcy documents the administrators were of the opinion Eaglemoss had essentially screwed things up so bad they thought it was probably a lost cause. Maybe someone like QMx who essentially already had a license for the same thing. I have the feeling the new owners are probably going to focus largely on hero ships, despite what Robinson claims, I don't think releasing every ship ever was financially viable (but if was cool while it lasted).

I would think after they burn thru the existing stock, then the main hero ships would be the first ones they do. Less “Kes’s Shuttle” and more USS Voyager.

Perhaps it’s that French company?
They're for sure resuming the Ent-D model subscription service, presumably if they wanted to do the ships they'd have included them in the original deal.

I wonder if DeAgostini is still around?
Not a bad guess, honestly, I was surprised they didn't pick up the 1701-D model, that's more in their wheelhouse than Ixo/PCT's (who have had subscriptions collection more like the original Starship line).

I was leaning more towards a company like QMx (shoot or even Hot Wheels) that would be more likely to focus on releasing individual ships than doing another subscription service.

Less Voyager and more NCC-1701 (TOS), Enterprise-D, B'rel class, D'deridex class, USS Reliant, I guess.:(

Did the STO line ever get around to the Alliance Temer Raider? It's growing on me with my latest Romulan playthrough (I realized none of my other T6 Rommie ships are account-wide).
