Star Trek Book - Exploring the original series by E.J Wilson

There are reviews and the table of contents on Amazon, looks like the first third of the book is the author ranking his favorite episodes, then the next third is dedicated to obsessively describing every female that ever appeared on the show, so if that sounds like your cup of tea...

Sounds like a few creepy fanzines I remember from the 70s, usually written by guys who spent too much time staring at a TV series.

I'm guessing the episodes with a focus on "THE WOMEN!!"...

Anyone know how reliable this book is?

The Exploring TOS website on the back cover appears to be down.

Is this another Cashman?

Amazon has a number of reviews; apparently, you either love this or hate it. I do get the impression that it's more of an enthusiastic fan pet project, something of a 'labor of love,' rather than a cynical cash grab like certain other 'reference' books out there seem to be. But if you are already an avid fan of the show then you probably won't get anything new from this.

The book is 9 years old, and the website is long gone.

The Amazon reviews are innnnnnnnnnnnnteresting, The TopPositive review was found helpful by 5 people, the Top Negative review was deemed helpful by 44 people.

Thanks, Maurice. I actually think I might get this, if it's still available, just to see what all the fuss was about and perhaps derive some small enjoyment from it. I mean, even if I hate it, it's still about what is almost certainly my favorite work of entertainment ever, right? Right? [unanswered echoes like those going down the Exo III abyss after poor Mathews]

Perhaps the worst possible experience would be akin to reading, say, a "post" on - I don't know, just crazy spitballing here - a, shall we call it, "Internet message board" or some such relating to the same material. With which post I disagreed. If such a thing existed, or could ever exist. :D

Oh, yes - and I need to see what the price tag is.
