I'm sure this has been noticed or mentioned or pointed out here by someone at this point, but I just found out today that the Cosmic Koala first seen in "Moist Vessel" and mentioned a few times since then, is in the background of that little 10-second clip (at the 6-7 second mark) at the beginning of every episode showing the Cerritos flying around in the shape of the Starfleet delta.

I think I'm now convinced that there's going to be more to this koala than just a funny throw away gag.
