Star Trek Soundtracks

Just enjoy listening to it, @Tosk . At least you are a genuine fan who listens to it and enjoys the music for what it is and not a Ferengi buying it/multiple copies to sell on at an extortionate price.

I’m surprised after all these years that the Voyager Soundtracks have not sold out. Surely if there are only 3,000 copies they would be long gone by now? Maybe there are not 3,000 Star Trek: Voyager fans who like music.

Does anybody know if there are any more Lalaland Star Trek releases coming out soon?

There is TWOK and the Motion Pictures so I am guessing they will be making their way back through the movies? I’ll probably be getting those too at some point.

I *really* want Strange New World’s though. Picard’s soundtrack is good but other than a few stand out Tracks it is rarely ‘Star Trek’ enough and rather generic. I hear that Terry Matalas is correcting this for season 3 though. Here is a James Horner inspired example:

The Final Frontier Collection was their last hurrah as far as TV Trek goes. So movie re-issues are presumably the only thing left now...no idea if they have any coming soon...maybe IndySolo will tease us? ;)

I’m glad that I got the Final Frontier Collection along with Deep Space Nine Collection 2 though which is on it’s way. Deep Space Nine Collection 2 is still going to be awesome from the episodes and track lists I see included on it.

I’m tempted to get the Enterprise collections one day but Enterprise music tended to become a bit too ‘hip’ and also generic TV like… but I think that was the point, trying to make the series more ‘trendy’ and ‘action movie’ like. I’ll probably go for them one day, but Enterprise never reaches the heights of Voyager or DS9 in my opinion. :bolian:

I’m glad that I got all of Voyager before it is too late though… EPIC! :D

On Spotify, you can find soundtracks for TMP, TWOK, TUC, GEN, NEM and the Kelvin films. You can also find soundtracks for DIS, PIC, LD, PRO, all of TOS, all of TNG, and the series premieres of DS9 and VOY respectively. But most of DS9 and VOY, all of ENT, TSFS, TVH,TFF, FC and INS are missing.

TMP soundtrack was a recent addition, so they might be remastering those soundtracks.

I have/had all of those, I bought some original albums when I was a teen, including the First Contact Soundtrack when I was visiting family in Canada as the film was released, but almost all of my Star Trek treasure was lost when my mum and dad split up. My Star Trek trove was left at my childhood home and ended up going to whoever bought the house when we had to leave as I had to leave most of it behind, I managed to get my Fact Files though and my most ‘important’ Trek items. All my models, books, VHS cassettes and other memorabilia though…. gone. :wah:

Before finding Lalaland, my go to source of Star Trek music was Apple Music. They don’t have all the *really* good stuff though. Lalaland have that. :D

I have the Tos and the Enterprise tv sound track cd s .And some of the Star Trek movie soundtracks. The Kelvin verse movies cds.

I think it’s a little strange they haven’t put out the soundtrack for SNW yet. Picard S2 came out right before the finale and both Lower Decks and Prodigy came out during the season.

One of the musicians recently tweeted asking which tracks we would like to see on the SNW album, so I am guessing that things are progressing. I would prefer to buy a physical copy now though, rather than digital. Maybe the delay is something connected to licensing issues considering the original series source material which is used in a lot of tracks?

I am also happy to report that my Star Trek Deep Space Nine Collection Volume 2 arrived this morning. I will be moving on to the movie collection re releases now. I hope that they get to all of the TNG films too one day.

This month I opted to treat myself to the remastered Motion Picture and Wrath of Khan soundtracks. Seeing these two movies in the cinema for the first time recently instead of a TV screen renewed my love for these movie scores.

Hopefully The search for Spock will come out soon, Voyage Home too. I’m running out of Trek tracks to buy now! :techman:

FYI, the 2010 Retrograde Trek III and 2011 Intrada Trek IV soundtracks are both excellent. No idea on availability though. I believe IndySolo worked on both of them.

These can be purchased. I just got both of these, along with most of the expanded score releases, just a few months ago. In fact I believe that the TSFS one has very recently been rereleased. Let's have a look....

Yes:

TVH temporarily out of stock, but TSFS is available. Good one also!

Will they not come out on Lalaland? I don’t want to mix record labels if I can help it…

Who can spot my two new additions…

I'm curious about that "loose" disc. It says disc four on it. But the set already has four discs. And the contents and art all match the existing disc four. Did your set have all four discs inside?
I am pretty late to this thread, but the disk in the set had an error on it (I don’t recall what the issue was, I think one of the tracks was duplicate). The loose disk is the fixed version.

Edit: it’s track 28

I don't think they will. AFAIK, the rights lie with different record companies. And Intrada - again going by what I think I know, someone else may correct me here - rereleased a number of ST soundtracks that were originally published by Film Score Monthly, and also a score originally released by La La Land, in fact: TFF. So there's a bit of cooperation there even. The point is: unless you look at the fine print on the discs, you wouldn't know from the overall packaging what the record label was. The Intrada releases are just as lavish as the others.

Why do we not have a separate section for *ST Music?* It's better than the rest! Star Wars and The Godfather being second and third respectively.
