This is my tribute to one of my all time favourite people; Grace Dell Nichols, better known as Nichelle Nichols, who portrayed one of the most capable, and intelligent characters of Trek. I had the great pleasure of meeting her a few times, and was able to talk to her at some length on her career and my fandom of her body of works, especially Trek, that she spoke one of the greatest truths that I have lived by, "But why should I object to that term, sir? You see, in our century we've learned not to fear words."
This was in response to Lincoln's terming her, "charming negress".
I... We will miss you dearly.
